- Happy Memorial Day! Here's a song celebrating it not really. Read below for the inspiration, or just enjoy the music!
So...where the hell did this come from, right? Well, honestly, I don't know. I just kind of played this game a little bit and started looking up the music, 'cause it was pretty awesome. And then I realized that a lot of the versions on UA-cam are ripped directly from the OST discs and don't sound like they do when you actually fight the bosses associated with them.
So I said, "I'll try to make them sound like they do in the battles! Everyone'll appreciate that!" And by everyone, I meant nobody, because I didn't honestly think I was going to be able to do it. After all, music mixing is something that people do with high-tech mixing tables and Garage Band...right?
Turns out, MGRR's music is made in such a way that the instrumental and vocal versions of the track can transition pretty seamlessly into one another. In other words, making this was a lot easier than I thought, and so I played with it until the version you're listening to was born. I had to play through the boss fight a whole lot to get it just right, and watch a ton of videos for the boss, as well. But in the end, it turned out all right, and I figured I'd upload it for everybody to enjoy.
I actually did another mix for "Rules of Nature" already (it was MUCH more difficult), and I might upload that too if this gets some solid reception. Whether or not I make any other mixes in the future is entirely up in the air at this point...but I probably will. Maybe. ;)
...That is, if I don't get a Content ID Match, lol. And by the way...
"Collective Consciousness" was composed by Jamie Christopherson, as a part of the OST for "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance". I claim no ownership of the original works (the vocal nor the instrumental versions), but I do claim responsibility for creating this mix to better represent the boss battle that it accompanies.
...And for those of you wondering if this is going to replace anything on my channel, no, it's not. It's just something I worked on randomly over my little break from UA-cam, and I figured it was better than uploading nothing at all, since it was just sitting on my hard drive.
SO DON'T KILL ME PLEASE. xP
