Keres played like a machine. He always played moves ahead of his time (the Keres attack in the Sicilian for example, with AlphaZero type pawn pushes). The awkward king move by his opponent was not good stays my engine, but by then white already had a nearly 200 centipawn advantage.

Was Keres the best in '35? Difficult to say. There was Flohr, Botvinnik, Fine, Reshevsky... Fair to say they would have all been too much for Alekhine (and Euwe)

Keres was excellent, he beat all the world champs 9!, he is called the giant slayer. Fun fact he is on Estonian money

I don't think he was the best player in 1935, no I dont think so. I think he was way to young for that if I'm not mistaken.
