I just wanted to say that I appreciate the content of your videos. I'd been actually looking around trying to find a simple, less-aggressive approach to cleaning tube pins that doesn't require the use of chemical treatment, etc... Fortunately, I stumbled on this video. Believe it or not, some folks are out there using gasoline, WD-40, and other crazy concoctions to clean up simple oxidation. Seems excessive for tin-plated brass. Good info! Cheers 👍
@@kevins3453 we actually revisited pin cleaning a few episodes back, or 4 years after that early Tube Lab. The early info is still valid, but we also show how to use a plastic flapper wheel in a dremel to rapidly clean pins. Just a faster way to clean up pins.
