- The day 10-year-old Maite Rodríguez died was supposed to be a day of triumph. She had improved her grades at Robb Elementary enough to make the school's honor roll.

@Quentin Hapsburg Quentin, I am an older person and the one thing I have learned is people react to massive sorrow in different ways. I am just assuming you are younger than me because most people are. Most religious people, especially Catholic, have this wonderful belief that our souls go to Heaven and it is a far better place than here. For the mother, that may be how she copes and holds back from emotion. Didn't mean to lecture you, but it is so easy to judge until God forbid you are walking in her shoes.

I didn't cry in front of others except my 2 daughters . It was hard because I dealt with my husband's death with anger and bitterness . I think I would have been far better off not using anger to try snd escape the hurt.

Maite already had already triumphed in her short life and she was supposed to have many more of those accomplishments. To go from F’s to making the honor roll after struggling with all of the trials that came from covid-it really is a huge accomplishment & shows how determined she was! It’s so sad she was robbed of the opportunity to achieve more of her goals and dreams. Thank you for sharing her story. I’m so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. Why does it matter how "special, how smart, how competitive, how beautiful, honor student"etc etc etc. she was. She is gone, unfortunately. And that is all matters. She doesn't have to be "smart, competitive, focused, ..................................... " NOT to deserve to die. Nobody deserves to die this way. Period.

Even though it’s really hard to listen to the details of these victims lives, I want to watch every video to give them a name. It hurts but I want to learn each other stories. I can’t even put into words how much I’m praying for the victims and their families and friends. And all the survivors as well. Even though the police fucked up, I’m praying for them too because unless they are monsters they are feeling absolutely terrible also…

She was VERY BRAVE to tell her daughters story. Her daughter was beautiful and she was gonna make something of herself, she was gonna be somebody which is what I want for myself. I don't know how you've gotten through this. In alot of pain, I hear it in your voice. Your words and description of your daughter will be with me and I will remember her forever. What a good mother and example of a decent loving mother you are. You remind me of my own. I miss her so. And my failings in life as to her hopes for me to become somebody more successful now haunt me. When I heard you, I was taken back to her love and guidance. Your person has a great value in this world. If not now for your daughter, for others. As she would undoubtedly been, because of you. Please don't give up hope. The only thing we have left of your daughter is you. You may not realize the inspiration and effect you have on others. My Uncle Jack was run over by a drunk driver. My Mom had 6 kids, the oldest Larry, passed away. The torment I have suffered, and that still creeps in, especially as I am depressed about how my wife did me wrong. Whenever other bad things are present in your conscience, now, or going into the future, you will also then as now be affected by your daughter's fate. And the world and people can become a dark place to be. Between my sister Lisa and I was to be Julie, who came out stillborn. A dismay to my mother all her life. Your words about your daughter make me cry, as to all the things I mention here about myself, and the things cognizant, especially to me. It is also a reminder that I do not walk alone, and, neither will you. I would never have to meet you for that to be so. It helps me to not fret the bad things in my life away, as I've done over time. You, because you are the specific person you are, would be a good volunteer at children's cancer centers, or the like. There are so many who need a mother like you. Perhaps adopting a child would be a blessing for you. As I can tell that the person of your daughter not being there, has left a void. Try to think of the fact that your daughter's circumstance may have been that you and your husband had died in an accident perhaps, and her left an orphan. And that a good loving mother came along in her sorrow and grief and adopted her. You would not have had to have known her biological mother, to be a blessing to her, in her hopes and prayers for her daughter. Just like you, at this time. It may come to appear to you that God brought your daughter back to you, in this way. Because all of the specific things you mention about your daughter came mostly from you. You have the ability to bless your daughter by doing such a thing. And yourself. There are many children who wish they could be nurtured by you to carry the traits your daughter got from you. I like to buy stars at Jack in the box, when they have their make a wish drive each year. My Uncle who was killed by the drunk driver, his name was Jack. Your daughter would never want her mother to die, not physically, nor emotionally inside. I imagine she would feel you let her down if you did. That's reasonable to assume. You are a bright and shining star of a mother. And anywhere others are blessed with your attention, like me, and many many more like me, hearing your plight, need your good person. It's the only way I can envision a daughter being brought back to you. As in the great poem, "Footprints", it says, that at the lowest and saddest time in your life, when turning back and seeing only one set of footprints in the sand, that it was then that God carried you. My dear lady, God blessed you, and has blessings for you yet.

There were no cameras at the school despite federal agents canvassing the Robb Elementary School months before. The same happened in the New York City subway shootings in April where all the cameras were turned off. Will we ever know what really happened?

Factors in Uvalde, Texas Massacre:
1. Troubled childhood and upbringing;
2. Unresolved bullying;
3. Shooting violence in games;
4. Guns;
5. Easy prey, children.
Troubled childhood issues in particular: being an unwanted child, parents who ditch their children to grandparents or relatives, parents who prefer drug abuse and addiction over their children. These tend to stay with a child for life and affect their mindset. Often times children perceive themselves as loners, and isolate themselves from the norm.
Bullying is very common in the USA. Children are not yet fully developed to deal with bullying on their own. Parents are children's comfort and support. If left alone, bullying carries over to a child's emotional and personal development.
Watching violence in shooting games is addictive. When children live under conditions like violence, they learn it, and accept it as life. In a child's mind, violence has become a way to live.
Gun safety is a great American tradition for our constitutional right, in public safety professions as well as fighting warriors. We must teach our children that people are not to be targets to be killed, like in many violent video games. Not pointing a gun at people is a learned skill, much like when learning how to shoot a gun.
Children must be protected. They are vulnerable. Children are easy targets for too many people who don't have any fully developed training in guns. Why must the children suffer any further harm?

The Bible talks about a time when these senseless tragedies will no longer happen as it says at Revelation 21:3,4 when Jehovah God ends all pain and death.
When God's son was on earth, he taught people to pray for God's Kingdom as it says at Matthew 6:9,10. This Kingdom is a real Government that will replace all human governments on earth according to Daniel 2:44
