Wow, what beautiful brassicas, you’re a wonderful gardener, I’m truly stunned by your ability to grow brassicas of such perfection without using any of those all pervading herbicides & pesticides that ultimately end up in the produce. I especially love your good advice on how to best grow alongside nature by timing plantings to plant out more mature plants to minimise slug damage. All good stuff & well done👍 Hats off also to your good lady and her great recipes. 😊
I truly appreciate your thoughtful comment! It’s always a joy to share my gardening journey with others, and I’m glad you found the tips helpful. I'm really passionate about organic gardening, and it's great to hear that my tips are resonating with you!
Thanks for all the tips on growing cabbages. I’m glad you mentioned that they take a long time to grow because mine still haven’t got a good heart yet. They do look healthy so far though. Mrs W that dish looks really delicious and it looks relatively simple to make. Thank you.
I'm glad the tips were helpful! Cabbages do take their sweet time, but patience is key. Keep nurturing them, and they'll reward you with a good heart soon!
Never any need to throw away excess veg. Looks lovely Mrs. W! Must try a few cabbages next year. Im wonderful if theyd ve successful in large pots? TY. ❤

I'm glad you enjoyed the video Ken! My aim is to have these how to videos available for reference points at any time for gardeners to refer to. Mrs. W always aims for simplicity and deliciousness. Hope your Sunday lunch turns out fantastic!
This is my forth year no dig on my plot. This year I have had a go at savoy cabbages sown in early June and transferred to the bed July. The results are amazing beautiful full hearted cabbages I never thought it possible. No dig has to be the way forward. Thanks for all your help and great tips.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm so glad to hear that the no-dig method is working wonders for you. Your success will inspire others to give it a try!
I really appreciate your feedback Frank! It’s always nice to know the tutorials are helpful. If you ever have questions about gardening, feel free to ask! Clubroot can be really bad if one gets it, but it's great to hear it's not a concern in your area - any properties free? The threat is always here in the UK!
This was absolutely amazing, very helpful thank you very much. Oh and Mrs W your veg bake looks amazing - I just wish my other half would eat a selection of veg other than peas and carrots. Take care and looking forward to the next ‘from seed to plate’ vid. Sharon
Thanks for watching, Sharon! I'm glad you found the video helpful. And I totally get it-sometimes it feels like getting someone to try new veggies is a bigger challenge than growing them! 🤣🤣🤣
Love that recipe, we call it bubble and squeek in yorkshire, only thing i add apart from the veg is spoon of hp sauce, just adds the sharpness adge too it guys, its lovely fried in butter for breakfast with crusty bread with plenty of butter on👌👌👌
Thank you for sharing your twist on the recipe Graham! I love hearing how different regions put their own spin on things. Your breakfast sounds absolutely mouth-watering!
Lovely, the bake is similar to bubble & squeak & I love that, thanks Mrs W I'm going to try this, & even better home grown cabbage. I've sown some spring cabbage a while ago, I love all green vegetables. Thank you for your advice...

ooh, what a great start to your new series. I'm loving the format.Your recipe looks great, I guess it could be formed into patties and fried like bubble and squeak. Mrs W & Barry, I have loads of celery that is now ready to harvest/. I have never grown it before and it has been more successful than i could have hoped for. Do you have any tips on what to do with a lot of celery- I don't want to waste it. Is there anyway of preserving it as I won't be able to eat it all immediately. Thank you so much. Happy gardening 🙂
Thank you for your kind words Be! It's great to hear that your celery harvest has been successful. You can try blanching and freezing it for later use, or even make delicious celery soup or juice! If you remember last year we took some plants from the garden and transplanted into the poly, it worked really well and we were harvesting right up to March - worth a try!
Made this bake tonight. It was amazing. Thank you for brightening mash potato. I must look at more of your recipes.
Thank you for trying out the recipe! It means a lot to me, and I’m thrilled you loved it. Can't wait for you to try more!

Fair play to Mrs W…I bet it went well with the Duck… but do you have owt moist on it. Gravy or a fruity sauce?
Thanks for your comment! Mrs. W definitely knows how to elevate the duck dish. We had a great sauce with it made with the duck juices!
