Damien is my son. He suffered early life trauma and turned to PRESCRIPTION drugs for relief of the emotional pain. This led to heroin. When he finally got help, it was not enough, and too late and even more damage was done by an and ignorant archaic legal system. Non violent crime in these years are so often the result of drug addiction, which is so often the result of trauma. We need to treat the sickness, not punish the lost soul struggling to exist. Damien was too good for this world. You see that light in his eyes? Even struggling with that demon inside? Do you see what he achieved even paying that price? That light, that light is what we all want to be......
I'm sorry you passed so early man your voice is incredible i watch this video every few years just to appreciate what you did. Thank you for your inspiration!
RIP Peasant was the stage name of Damien DeRose (September 23, 1985 - November 18, 2015). DeRose passed away in November 2015 after being in a coma for over two weeks.
9 years later I still listen to Amsterdam Acoustics and find out this guy suffered a Heroine overdose after a life of crime and drugs; It doesn't even fit what I see in this video...
@wassupthesky nope, they have amazing quality mics for video cameras ") they just have to synch the audio and the video, but it's recorded live as you see it :D
