You both make everything look easy. I was feeling so good, purchasing Kelbourne yarn to make the Felix Cardigan for Rhinebeck. Now I see Joy using three yarns!!! Looking forward to us wearing our cardigans.
I just *love* watching you two and what you're working on! I admire the double-knitting and the pressed flowers pattern, but want to do *neither*! LOL! I also don't record my stash in a book -- just on Ravelry. Even then, it's incomplete; I'm always doing up-dates with yarn or roving I discover in the process of looking for something. It's always fun to see what you've made, and what you're making and how you combine yarns together to make new colour-ways. Thanks again for another lovely podcast. 😊
So happy to see another episode pop up today. Best wishes to both of you. I'm still up north and it was only 0C this morning so we are all enjoying sweaters for a bit longer. As always, I enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful projects.
I am so amazed that your mission falls yarn and mohair go together so beautifully! I would not have tried to pair them. The nylon in the mohair yarn adds strength, but nylon is very soft, also. And, Joy, I think your purples are working up great! So clever to combine them, but also a lot of work to keep track of the repeats. I am swatching 2 linen and linen, rayon cotton yarns for summer tee shirts.
I’m behind on watching your last 2 episodes! I wanted to comment on your double knitting issue with rowing out, Joy. I’ve had the same issue. It’s worse if using cotton yarn, of course. Better if I reduce needle size. Interestingly, I saw a friend yesterday who was working on her 1st double knit hat from a class she had just taken. It looked perfect. When I commented on how nice the stitches appeared, she said the instructor said to go back and tighten up the purl stitches after working 3 or 4 of them. I imagine that this could be very slow and tedious, but might be worth exploring? Let me know if you try it!
Interesting that you had the same issue. And Jackie told me she had problems with it, too. The interesting thing to me is that a few years ago when I did some more double knitting, it did not plague me at all. That fix of manually tightening up the stitches does sound tedious; I'm not likely to try it, but thanks for the suggestion!
Some beautiful WIPs there ladies 😊❤
Thanks!

Well, I was trying to use my stash! It will be fun to see how different they all turn out. We'll have to get a picture together.
Loving your creative use of stash yarns! Beautiful projects! I remember that Mission Falls at Unraveled…
Thanks. I remember the Mission Falls, too, LOL.

Thanks, Margie. I only put "special" yarn in my Ravelry stash. It's always a surprise when I look through my bins. :)

Thanks, Margaret! I'm just sitting down to watch your new episode.
