Regarding the pet costs, we had a similar issue with one of our cats and had no prior insurance. It cost us over $5000 for a 2 night stay at a 24 hour vet hospital, and another $2500-3000 when the issue relapsed less than 2 years later. Our cat, Acer, has been doing well since. However, we can't get insurance for him after the fact and it caused us a *lot* of stress. I hope for the best and send my love. It's a challenging thing to go through for anybody.
I should also specify, it wasn't *just* the money, or even a brief period of stress. He had to have a feeding tube temporarily inserted into his throat via surgery, through which we would feed him a specific (expensive) medicated food blend (which we would have to mix daily). He had to be fed every 4-6 hours. Additionally, he had multiple medications (pills and liquids) which were administered daily on a consistent schedule. Plus keeping his wound clean. This was done by ourselves privately for months.
Are you guys going to be playing the new Dark Pictures game that came out yesterday? Looks pretty similar to Until Dawn!
