The snare river was doing was known as the "pitch snare" nowadays, though I believe it used to be called the "beatrhino snare" because of the first person to popularize it. It's very similar to a spit snare in technique with tighter, more stretched out lips (I believe)
also there are 3 different types of spit snare out there, The main two are the Napom/BMG, where you puff out your lips, and the colaps/footbox, which is super easy to combo with kiss hi-hats.
