In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Silent. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. Definitely prefer the standard Spire content but would likely be more OK with the modded content if there was a section at the beginning where you explained the mod and the types of things we could expect from it.

I am somewhat confused by this comment. This is not a modded run. We actually do indicate in the description when runs are modded. Could you let me know what's causing the confusion here?
@@Baalorlord There is no confusion on whether the run is modded. This is a comment on the few modded runs that have appeared on the channel recently. I have clicked on a few of them then chosen not to watch because they are modded and it's a departure from what I understand to be your content. The comment is meant to express that I would likely enjoy watching those videos as well provided you introduce the concept of the mod in some way that allows me to understand what to expect from it.
@@Baalorlord An example might be, "Today/this video we are using the X mod which adds new elite enemies and bosses" or "Today's modded run alters the starter cards but leaves the others unchanged."
Without knowing what sort of content to expect, committing to watching a 1+hr video is less likely.

That's the way it should often be if you're playing right. You often want to plan for and save resources for the heart and if you're having a good run you can go in there with two or more good potions and a deck built to beat the heart.

Glad to see you are doing silent runs now. I recently finally beat level 20 with iron clad and your videos were of great help. I have been climbing with silent and now that you are doing silent runs it should be very helpful.
Upon taking 3 Apparitions Baalorlord ended up having 33/33 HP and 333 gold.

Ohhhh a discworld virgin, read guards guards and you will then be hooked. Terry takes references from music, plays, religion, IT , witchcraft, vampires and many more into his world. The more you know of the subjects the funnier the books are but you arent expected to know or need to know all the references. My user name is one of my favourite characters

You can! We indicate in the description when runs are modded. This run isn't modded (beyond the usual visual-only stuff like Mapmarks that is in every video). Was there something in the video that caused any confusion? Happy to clear it up if so.

The mods he uses on his normal runs are accepted by the community.
Only mod that changes anything about the game is RNGfix which is just used to prevent cheating.
Aside from visual mods like Map Markers, the one mod likeliest to have an impact on gameplay is RNGFix. It specifically changes how the game works, by making its RNG truly random. All other mods do nothing more than provide information he would otherwise still have ready access to.
RNGFix is in use because otherwise there is a sort of meta-strategy than can be used by correlating certain random events. A shrine in an event room may mean a certain fight in another, which you might then prepare for in advance. The community consensus is that this is difficult, unfun, and outside the spirit of the game itself, so RNGFix was developed to make it a nonissue.
