Sad that radio here in Canada only plays 2 Nazareth songs...Everybody knows those 2....Not even close to being their best songs..Nazareth is an amazing band.Loved them since i was a kid maybe 7.
I have searched UA-cam for anyone that can sing like this and looked for how to sing like Dan Mcafferty and found nothing. The uniqueness is just that ..no one else sings this way. 2 octaves , low and high at the same time. Wow just wow
“Bad Bad Boy” is a song and single by Scottish Rock group, Nazareth. It was first released in 1973 on a 7 inch single, on Mooncrest Records, produced by Roger Glover. It is also on the album ‘Razamanaz.’ “Bad Bad Boy” was written by Dan McCafferty & Darrell Sweet & Pete Agnew & Manny Charlton. The Members Of Nazareth in 1973 were: Dan McCafferty- Lead Vocals, Darrell Sweet- Percussion, Pete Agnew- Bass Guitar, and Manny Charlton- Electric Guitar. The song was the 2nd of 11 of Nazareth’s singles to chart in the UK. It reached #10 in 1973 and stayed there for 9 weeks. Pretty Rockin’ and memorable Classic Rock Song from back then, Right guys? It Rocks Even Today! Rock On Everyone! 🎸😎🖤🤘🏻
Their lives were not easy at the beginning Susan , several record companies turned them down flat, that was of course until they charted independantly with Broken Down Angel, and then the hypocritical bastards were climbing all over each other to sign them, in the last 30 years Naz went Gold in Canada resulting Platinum .. i.e Millions of album sales, love from Germany.
@68’ Rumble Bee I still can't decide which mesmerizes me more... the sounds coming from Dan's mouth or Mannys guitar. He plays a meanass slide. I love it.
Saw Nazareth in Plymouth Guildhall a number of times in the early 1970s. One of the best live bands I've seen (and I've seen a lot). Tight drums and bass. Brilliant guitar. And a rock voice of gravel and grit unparalleled. They used to do a gig intro that started with the drums, then progressed to bass, then layered big guitar chords and finally would come on Dan and burst the soundscape with that voice. I wish there was a recording somewhere of that gig opening - one of the best ways to start a gig I've ever seen. Right up there with the best.
Damned..., this was a sensational event on Spotlight in these days. I had the possibility to go on the Spotlight Shows frequently and the pleasure to join the audience with the age of 14. Still remember to have had the chance to talk with the group members together with Peter Rapp (Moderator) in the small canteen at the ORF Studios before the show took place. The best part was the encores after the official filmed Show. Nazareth were somehow underrated, maybe because there were such great Supergroups like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, ELP, Uriah Heep and so many others in the seventies. A great time with exceptional shows and bands. Dan has an outstanding, unique and cutting voice. Nazareth forever !!!
Its an austrian crowd, not german, the promoter was peter raab, it was 1975... and nazareth as sure as the austrains had a very fine time, they liked it, stomp their feet and clapping to the music.
Классная вещь классной группы , но что характерно , публика - одна молодёжь и ведёт себя довольно скромно . Сейчас на концертах таких групп те же слушатели , только постаревшие на 40-50 лет.
Nazareth was at this time at their peak. I wonder if they weren't as popular as other hard rock bands of the time due to their management. I mean, who booked them here in front of this Lawrence Welk-ish audience?
Nessa época a criatividade era extraordinária! Olha que eu nem tinha nascido kkkk... Qualidade de áudio na raça! Coisa que hoje deixa a desejar por meios eletrônicos que corrigem tudo.
as we all get to look at these weird kids', it makes you wonder what's going through their minds back then', for me, this was one of the most pivotal bands that ever influenced my life', when my older bro had his 18th birthday he bought 18 cases of beer back then and it took us 3 bros', 2 weeks to drink it all', and Nazareth was at the top of my play list', some of the best times of my life''.
As pessoas são mesmo toscas, se fosse a porcaria do Justin Bieber ( respeitando o gosto de quem gosta), estaria tudo louco, mas quando é um grande cantor fica tudo a dormir como se estivessem a ouvir música na rádio do carro.
I love this band! Have been following them since I saw them open for Deep Purple in the same year as this video. And this song is from my favorite album of theirs, Razamanaz. Was just listening to Alcatraz earlier today, so the timing of discovering this awesome gem is perfect! These guys never got the recognition they deserved. They were every bit as good as bands like AC/DC, just never hit that level of success. Nonetheless, their music was a huge influence on me from my teenage years on.
This song is off the Razamanaz album produced by Roger Glover. Heard Night Woman playing in a record store in 1974 and asked if it was the new Deep Purple line-up.
@@kenchristie9214 Yes sir! I guess Nazareth had a connection to Deep Purple since the early 70's- it's probably why they were the opener to Purple when I first saw them.

RIP Dan McCafferty, one of the best rock voices now silenced. ;-( RIP also Manny Charlton who died just a few months ago, a great rock guitarist!
And Daryl Sweet. Pete Agnew on bass is the only survivor from this 😔
I now right
Danny had one of the best raspy tenors in rock! Nasereth were criminally underrated.
Man is the king of rock n roll in some circles.

I suppose....AXEL ROSE got his style from Him...DAN was the original Rockin' Raspin'-frontman!
The best wee country in the world had so many great bands with fabulous music! 🏴
one of the best vocals in rock history.
Indeed
I so agree with you. I have always love the tone of his voice. Great band with good music.
What about Slade and Cinderella?
Sounds like Dan is boiling nails in his throat
Every vocalist is one of the best, the rest is just opinions and individual taste LOL there will never be the best at anything
