      It’s triangular and can be used as a tool all on its own

    When i was a kid down in central Texas, i found a few bifaces while hunting for arrowheads. At the time i remember thinking "This indian wasnt too good at making arrowheads, its too big and bulky, too heavy. Never gonna work on an arrow." Of course i didnt even know the word biface, or anything about flintknapping. I only recently discovered heating up the biface to make it knapp better. There's a lot to learn if you want to make arrowheads.

    You are one of the best I've ever watched on here. I enjoy when you talk and explain your method. Thanks for all the help you have showed. Im new to napping and its way harder than I thought it would be lol

      napping is a problem for many people, most of us are trained not nap from at least elementary school, so getting back into it can be a challenge. Pro tip: try to learn from your kids, if they are still young enough.

    Jack, dont even think about these guys telling you you arent doing it right. From what I've seen, everyone does it different. Your way sure looks more refined and correct to me. Talking or not, you are the man.

    I have a 2 by 5 inch aluminum billet if you would want it. Free. If you think it would be big enough. I bought it because of you but its too big for me. I herd you wanted a larger one.

    Jack, how thick is your aluminum rod and what type is it?

    • @KnapperJackCrafty
      @KnapperJackCrafty  Рік тому

      Always 6061 aluminum. And I use 2 rods. One is 1/2" and the other is 5/8" diameter. I also use two aluminum billets. Both are 6061 aluminum. One is 1-1/8" and the other 1-1/2" diameter.

      @@KnapperJackCrafty Thanks. I just bought a solid copper rod. It makes big flakes, but a bit scary. Its 1-1/2" round and 4" long. Im goind to round one end and just bevels the 90 degree end a little.

    Nope we need the ole crafty chat going. Witty sense of humor gets a nice lil chuckle here every time. If they want silence then turn the video off. Sounds simple to me.

      I totally agree. Half of the reason I watch Jack is for the philosophy. And I do turn the sound off, I read the captions. Best of both worlds.

    Ugly rock.
    I found bouncing a large hammer on a big lump of chert released a talent in my hand judgement to create a clean fracture across a large face without cracks or crushing.
    As you did 9.50 into 2 hr video.
