I know this video is 5 yrs old but I want to thank you for making this video. I'm embarrassed to admit I have watched many UA-cam videos and still couldn't produce a nice loopy bow. Your video and instructions were very clear and at a speed that showed every detail! Now I make beautiful bows!
your bow is beautiful! I was out of practice so looking up some reminders today and you showed me a beautiful new technique! Thank you :) The double tail is stunning!!!
The ribbon is 2.5 inches wide. Here's the complete how-to including the wreath we used the bow on: runningwithsisters.com/magnolia-and-pinecone-holiday-wreath/ Cheers, Jennifer & Kitty
Question.... If you make the loops all the same size will the bow have the graduated look like your bow does? Shouldn't the loops become a little larger(like an inch) on each side with each loop you make? Because when I followed your video my bow keep looking weird without the loops getting larger and larger. IDK maybe I am doing something wrong? Any advice is appreciated , thanks
Great question! We usually make this kind of pew bow using al the same size loops (except for the center staring one). Then we shape it. Because the ribbon is wired, the front loops are puffier and appear shorter. The back ones get compressed a little and look longer. We also make bows as you described, making the loops bigger in the back and smaller in front. Tr both ways and see what you like! Hope that helps. J&K
Hi Terri, So sorry you are having trouble with the twist! We just rotate the ribbon then pinch it, basically flipping it over. Does that help? Jennifer & Kitty
So sorry you are having trouble making the bow. What part is confusing? Sometimes it helps to play the video on a slightly slower speed. Let us know how we can help you. Jennifer & Kitty
You can you can! It is easier than it might look once you have the ribbon in your fingers. Your fingers will get the hang of it and just twist and loop away! Jennifer & Kitty

How many twists do you give the ribbon before making the next loop? At one point my twist came untwisted .......
Hi Kristen, You just twist once each time. Here's the written how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/big-loopy-bow/

Approximately how many meters or inches of ribbon is used?
+Kaajal Shahdadpuri Thanks! We used 4 yards, which is 12 feet or 144 inches. Or 3.6 meters. Hope that helps!
