    You can really see the start of the gradient there at4:05can't you. Seemed rather challenging conditions, so well handled by the driver. No trouble at all with that load, shows the advantage of those smaller driving wheels for Hill climbing.

      The zoom was on as the train rounded the curve which helped see the start of the bank. Didn't see the sun all day. Overcast throughout with occasional bursts of light rain or drizzle so a greasy rail but there was no slipping that I can remember.

      I don't know Hemerdon well (filming from the lineside that is) but I thought the only places to view legally was from the summit overbridge or from the allotments near the bottom of the bank. That bloke must have trespassed across private land & then over the Railtrack/Network Rail boundary fencing or just walked down from the bridge by the side of the track.
