Wow! I had stopped caring about the Pixel phone because it couldn't do this! Is it just Alt-mode HDMI, or is Alt-mode DisplayPort supported? Does it support 4K? Will the Pixel Tablet also do this?
So from what I gather, this feature is only enabled on the pixel 8 series. So, no pixel tablet support as of yet. DisplayPort Alternate Mode is how Google classifies its support.
@@psalmistpro2554 Most people miss that HDMI and DisplayPort are 2 different protocols, so I needed the clarification that both are supported. To complicate things there is Intel's Thunderbolt protocol...

I hope Google makes the Google Chrome OS Flex extension when connecting the USB cable. It will be a practical method (one device with two systems).
