I’m lucky enough to spend my retired winters in the Southern Okanagan, where we usually get a few riding days a month even in the depths of January and February. I am however a transplanted Montrealer, so I do know the winter blues!
Your description of the lousy months of winter accurately describe ten months of the year in Scotland. But they also apply to the other two months as well, as there is no guarantee where the few weeks of potential summer will occur, nor even if the 14 days of summer will be consecutive, or actually spread over four months, with no two days even defining the season. We frequently enjoy all four seasons in one day in the same location. Which is nice. I suppose. Once every decade we enjoy a proper winter, ( snow that stays for a few days before graduation through slush to flooding in 48 hours!) or a summer ‘heat wave’! ( four days or more over 23C) and everyone gets burnt bright red. Don’t get me started on midges…….
Neil.....you are to your industry as Neil Peart was to his. Thank you. 👍
Another great episode

Winter makes me grumpy too, especially now that the snow doesn’t stick around long enough in southwestern Ontario for any decent snowmobiling.
I just add it was pretty cool to see you and your both at this snow last winter.
