Awesome to see more footage of TRE's mythical UTDC Cab Cars. Just looking at them fills me with wonder. Even just photographs of 1000 and 1001 are very rare, so finding any actual videos of them makes me feel like I've found actual treasure. As far as I can tell, 1000 and 1001 are so strange and mysterious, that many people, even those who saw the units in person, don't even know they existed. That's saying something right there. The interior of that DMU car looks great. It would have actually been pretty cool if they had managed to get some of those in operation, or perhaps if Colorado Railcar hasn't collapsed, maybe TexRail could have used something like them instead of the bland Stadlers.
The TRE has 11 locomotives, including: Seven EMD F59PH IV locomotives, originally numbered #525, #527-528, and #565-568 Two EMD F59PHI locomotives, numbered #569 and #570 Two ex-Amtrak F40PHs, numbered 130 and 131 Siemens Charger locomotives, which are scheduled for delivery in 2026 to replace older locomotives
At the time this was filmed Car 411 was being restored under the highway across from the Ft. Worth T & P station. I believe the car is now on display in Burleson, Texas.
Wow TRE looked way different back than especially when Centerpoint DFW station only had one platform
Man this is golden! I hope you got some videos of 1000-1001 at a crossing , mane those things looked so nice.

Wow 1000 and 1001. I actually got to ride in cab of 1000 and 570 back in 2000 before 9-11. Thanks for great throwback times.
Glad it brings back memories.
2:18 what happened to TRE 565 because I used to ride TRE when I was young and I never saw 565 in person

This is gold! i think the company that made the DMU went bankrupt before TRE even got their order.
TRE got their RDCs used
@@Emerald-764he’s talking about the Colorado rail car near the end of the video
Oh alright, I didn't even realize TRE ordered those
12:36 At the time this was filmed where was urban car 411 being stored at and where is it located now?
