"Oniro Mou" is an imaginary dialogue between Greece and its people. On the verses Greece expresses bittersweet and nostalgic feelings, while on the chorus, Greeks reassure their country of their undying love. This is Yianna's first participation as co-songwriter in the Eurovision song contest.

Ο παππους μου είχε κ@ρκινο στον πνευμονα τότε αλλά όλα έδειχναν ότι πηγαινε καλύτερα. Τέλος παντων ο παππους μου είχε τρελα με το ραδιόφωνο του. Θυμάμαι ότι οπότε πηγαινα σπιτι του, ΠΑΝΤΑ το ράδιο έπαιζε από τις 11 το βράδυ μέχρι το ξημέρωμα οπου σηκονωταν για να παει στο καφενείο του. Εκείνες τις ημέρες έπαιζε non-stop αυτό το τραγούδι ως promo για τον διαγωνισμό, και φυσικά λατρευα να το ακουω. Έναν μήνα μετά, την βράδια του ημιτελικου που διαγωνιζοταν η Ελλάδα η ψυχολογία μου για κάποιο λόγο ήταν πεσμενη, αλλά παρολα αυτά ευχόμουν να προκριθουμε. Την επόμενη ημέρα ήμουν ακομα χειρότερα και όταν έμαθα ότι αποκλειστηκαμε αρχισα το κλάμα, κάτι πρωτόγνωρο για μένα, αφου δεν είχα ξανά κλάψει για ένα τραγούδι της Eurovision. Την επόμενη ημέρα, στις 10 Μαΐου μαθαίνω ότι ο παππους μου "έφυγε" στον υπνο του έχασα την γη κάτω από τα ποδια μου και καταρρακωθηκα αρκετά όπως και όλη η οικογένεια μου. Σημερα, ωντας 15 , ανέλυσα τους στίχους του τραγουδιού εις βάθος και κατάλαβα ότι αυτό το τραγούδι, συμβολίζει την ψυχολογία μου του τότε Απριλίου του 2018 . Με λίγα λόγια πως ήταν το "όνειρο μου" να δω τον παππου μου καλά, και πως του είχα μεγάλη αδυναμία. Έτσι λοιπόν στο άκουσμα αυτου του τραγουδιού με πιανει ρίγος και τα δάκρυα κυλουν σχεδόν αυτόματα στα μάτια μου. Μπορεί όλο αυτό να φανεί ως ένα χάσιμο χρόνο για κάποιους που θα το διαβασουν, αλλά για εμενα σημαίνει ότι αυτό το τραγούδι έχει ξεχωριστή θέση στην καρδιά μου γιατί μου θυμίζει τον παππου μου που μου λείπει πολυ ❤

1) I really can't tell why :P. I have two theories though. The one is ''Greece'' wondering why its people have so much love, passion and faith for their country after all the troubles they've been through historically and politically. The second theory is that the ''But why?'' is continuation of the second verse where Greece asks why they want to change the country and move its colors away (with that is probably referred to the current ''macedonian'' issue which has Greece's name and history ''stolen'' by others).

I totally agree my friend, since different countries are represented it is better to do it with something that reflect each country better, while having most songs in english has the advantage of better understanding it also makes things more "dull" in a sense.
I Totally agree, Eurovision should be all about diversity instead of uniformity. So many nice languages in Europe. I hope one day all countries will sing in their own language(s) again !
