- More than 25 million people are under winter weather alerts as a massive blizzard approaches the Sierra Nevada region. The storm has already shut down a stretch of I-80 and left hundreds trapped on the highway. Carter Evans is in Truckee, California with more.

For us OLD people this is just a return to normal winters
Lot warmer than they used to be
Way worse last winter. But it aint over yet.
Yup, and walking 12 miles to school everyday.
Uphill both ways.
Yes as older adults we've experienced a little more but don't tell the youngsters about it, they've all been brainwashed into thinking every weather event is global warming.
It's not like the drivers weren't warned.
i see people helping each other like in Wisconsin winters , that's a nice thing to do help one another.
Currently here in california no snow but just strong winds so far
Stay home, enjoy a hot tea 🙂
Where California is a big state your not specific
the valley , bay area, Southern Cali don't count.
They are trapped because they are dummies, this was clearly announced ahead
Yep.
Right , stay off the road and let the snow fall first, then go and play in the snow.
I remember when we used to have snow in Illinois in the winter. Even on Christmas!
Same in Michigan and I don’t miss it.
@@seriejohnson698 Yeah, I once enjoyed snow here in Michigan, but it's only enjoyable for some time. On February 27 we got to about 73 degrees. Winter has its' benefits in my opinion, but in general, spring and summer are better.
@@MacM545 Yes. I was out cleaning up leftover leaves and helicopters on that 73 degree day. My yard has never been so clean so early in the season. Unfortunately, it won’t last long as we have 3 trees with the dreaded helicopter seeds that fall and make an awful mess in the flower beds, patio and gutters. Now, with this crazy weather, I have no idea when to put down a pre-emergent. So, I put sone down on that warm day and will do it again the first week of April.
My wife and myself live in Indiana and were just saying the exact same thing Thursday evening after dinner. We also went to school when it would snow.
I am so envious of Carter! Enjoy buddy!
How humans tolerate weather outside the tropical zones is amazing.
Have a great and awesome and super cool Saturday. 😀
4-6 inches per hour in some areas….. sheeeeeeeeesh
Bom demais
Im praying 🙏 for the people and the wild life too , the wild horses etc
Lol, like that will do anything! Snow still falling, and falling, and falling!....
they have been predicting this for a week. why have they allowed these people on those roads?
Do you like to eat?
@@henryroman5415 there are alternate routes.
@@lovechangesus Right. I'll go 1000 miles out of my way. Are you paying for my fuel?
@@henryroman5415 I guess sitting stuck on the road in a blizzard that was forecasted days ago is a better solution. You win. I'm out
@@lovechangesus You're out alright. Food just magically appears in the supermarket.
We are down here in Sacramento with a few tiny rain spats the last few days and about 40-degree T shirt weather.
My kind of Xmas 🎄🎁... LOL.. just my opinion
It's not Christmastime
Yet here in Ohio there has been almost no snow this whole winter. Very strange.

Its 55 in the eastcoast and yall are about to get 12 feet of snow on the west coast.
For real, we're having nice spring days over here in the NE; another mild winter...
I rather just live in the South. No ❄️ 🌨️ snow snd cold weather
If all this snow melts too quickly this spring due to warmer temps....... Oh, mama!
These people will ignore the warnings get trapped in the snow and then blame the city for not helping them
Cali and a blizzard....
California has some of the biggest snowfall in North America. Learn about the Donner party.
@@jamesrobertsondaneke I've gone over Donner in my truck when the snow was 12 feet.
@@henryroman5415 me too. Colorado too even in June
Colorado Skier’s dream Vacay to go to Vail and get snowed in for a couple extra days. Great excuse to not come home early.
Hi from sunny Florida! Sending prayers.🙏🦩🐊🌴

They got our snow
Ha .im in Indiana..and we are at 67 degrees...yeaaa... usually thats us under blizzard conditions..
Heading to Mammoth in 2 weeks excited skiing 🎿 and snowshoeing
Hey Driver… you can’t get there from here… Nobody is getting off the Mtn today Mr. Reporter Guy…
i though buffalo gets hit with a lot of snow i have been mistaken 12 feet wow prepare your vacation for this time of year it is always sunny warm in Mexico
this is nonsense--the storm got blown out like does with high winds--barely 6 inches in tahoe--media hype,drama--only donners pass is bad like does even with one inch--too much baloney from these fake news sites
Once I was backpacking in the Sierra's in July. There was still 20 feet of snow on the ground
@@frankmacleod2565 many times mammoth mountain has skiing into july but Mt Hood outside of Portlans Or. can have skiing year round!!
are the two witnesses here messing with the weather? i think they are
The more the media tells people not to go, people do the opposite not me I am going with half tank gas no chains and no food and I am taking my kids.
This is what the weather used to be like 40 years ago it would snow, and it would snow deep all over the mountains of California, Oregon, Washington, wherever the mountains were and it snows in Alaska every year and people drive every year they drive on ice they drive on ice roads they drive they’re not scared to live life because it snoweda lot it’s taking us out of the fact that they can’t burn us out. How about that
I don’t know anything
😂 It's snow people. I live in Missouri. We have snow like this for months. They will be alright
Have many snowball s thrown and snow angels snowboarding
Took y’all right back to the ice age 2000000

I saw no old guys with beards and picks.
@@sclogse1 I was there picking my nose.
Wallops.
No sympathy for those trapped on I 80….this storm was warned about for days.
Well they gotta report something but it's normal to the Sierra s duh it's snows in the winter!!
A 2 minute story and i never saw a Monster Lizard 🦎
This is bogus.
BOGUS.
Seriously people, a bit of sensationalizing going on here. The snow depth behind that reporter is not deep. Last year, now THAT was sensational! He would not have even made it there.
He's talking about what's coming.
Lol😂they can’t handle this how we new Englander handle ours
I figured I'd see comments about how global warming causing this?
Nursing Facilities are Licensed, with State and Federal regulations. Nursing Facilities must comply with the Law. Each Resident has a Bill of Rights.
None of the corporations who have invested in the Nursing Facilities, actually own the business property of the Nursing Facility.
Beware of signing consent forms for outside health service companies.

Ask your Local Congressman to pass legislation that improves the quality of America's Nursing Homes.
The government should subsidize the nursing homes.

Stranded vehicles have dumb drivers ignoring weather reports.
What season are we really in winter?
Does this have to do with the Earth's axles tilting or the Interglactical warming ice age??
Are we in an ice age?
At least five major ice ages have occurred throughout Earth's history: the earliest was over 2 billion years ago, and the most recent one began approximately 3 million years ago and continues today (yes, we live in an ice age!). Currently, we are in a warm interglacial that began about 11,000 years ago.

Glad You Asked: Ice Ages - What are they, and what causes them?
Oh that global warming, it sure has a sense of humor doesn't it.🤣
Kidding aside, we have warming oceans that are killing food sources. If every country agrees we have rising oceans, then may be it's time to study science. I don't vote for glib. I vote for science. You know the stuff that made your phone.
people forget what a normal winter was? fear fear fear fear fear privilege privilege privilege
Humans have like a 24 hour memory at best. what a sad state of a species.
If I would have told people in my town 20 years ago one day there will be 60'F days in January and 70'F days in Feburary WITH REGULARITY in Illinois they would have scoffed. And yet here we are and its happening, and they go on denying anything is different. Crazy.
Literally like one day a week this winter was winter temperatures. 6 days a week were April temperatures. And it snowed twice. Two days, the entire winter and in two separate months. idk
Yes. Because we haven't had one in a while. It ain't fear. It's telling people don't drive up there. And it's been a privilege serving you.
Snow mobile sales will rise. Lol
What happened to global warming?
Didn't work out. Now it's climate change.
😂😂😂
Wherescthe homeless at? Hopefully they get in shelters
Hang in there global warming will be here in a month or so
Edit spring and summer
Fires in Texas way before spring. Rising tides and warmer oceans killing off food sources for sea life. Polar bears stranded due to melting ice. I pick science for 600, Bob.
@@sclogse1 I was born in the Oklahoma panhandle just north of Texas its always been dry and Windy there and is common to have wildfires that don't get much Media attention it snowed Wednesday night helping some but it's how it goes sometimes it bader then other years .
We moved to east Oklahoma to a better place after a tornado destroyed our house and business ... back in the 1970s

Hahaha, less than 550 likes! You guys are a joke!
Global warming 😂
Well, polar bears are dying off because they're drowning or trapped on melting ice. Food sources for sea life are dying because of warming oceans. And I don't see countries arguing with each other about it. I pick science. You know, the stuff that lets you leave comments.
Hmm, yeah, what about it? Increase in *AVERAGE* temperatures globally.
You know it’s winter time. People from that area know how to deal with It. Why not talk about the sad condition the president of the United States is in.
Say prayer:
Jesus you are the Lord and I believe in my heart God raised you from the death on the Third day, Cleanse me with your shedding blood on the Cross and help me do your will in Jesus name amen.
Ah yes..."global warming" strikes again! 😜

So much for GLOBAL WARMING
Stay home. Anyone traveling thru this area, you were warned not to travel. If you ignored the traffic warning shame on you. When one chooses to still travel you are putting emergency personnel in danger
Takes a special kind of stupid to get stranded on Donner Pass when you received ample warning to stay away.
