The trees in certain neighborhoods are shadier than anything I've ever seen in any part of the U.S., and I've been to all 50 states. Everyone I met was very kind, and I never felt unsafe in any part of the city. Dope place.
Tampa is a great city. Love it here. We saw a huge drop in crime in the early 2000's and now even these hoods are relatively decent places. I went to USF so I definitely can tell there is huge difference between the hoods and Tampa versus FTL. FTL is way more "showy". It reminds me of Miami in the sense of fashion, hairstyles, dancing etc. Also it seems like Tampa's poverty is worse. The places you visited was hit very hard by the recession and they still haven't recovered. Also gentrification is pretty bad as well. So the more gentrification the more the homeless population will grow and the more these people will have to migrate else where. If it wasn't for these projects, a lot of those people would be homeless unfortunately. In comparison to FTL there is poverty, but black entrepreneurship is growing and I feel there is way more opportunity to grow despite how expensive housing is. Black people in FTL allow people to use their homes as transitional housing until they can get on their feet. For most felons or uneducated people, until they can start their business. Another contrast is that though there is similar drug usage rates in both FTL and Tampa, there is way more gun violence in FTL. With that, the police is obviously more aggressive and corrupt in FTL. Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to compare and contrast the two areas I spent a good amount of years in.

She got me in tears I love heeeer 🤗💞 her spirit is amazing
I love that lady for saying mindsets need to change, and stop using drugs like the dude she helped. The south really is waaaaaaaaay behind the rest of the states, especially Florida and I’m saying this respectfully. Not fair
Boy stop lying because everything you see in this Video your going to see in every other state in every other hood, so to say the the south is behind everyone else is false my guy.
Yessss, attitude reflects leadership! Blessings to all "old cats' in this video!!

Umm there is one like all over here but different variants. Even though we do t have a lot housing like this we got hoods
How the hell did you manage that? Many of the major arteries in the city go through hoods. I know, because I live there.

We can start with our own, thanks
@@libragirlgone That's fine, just don't hit me with your little pity party when we do the same. If we had that understanding the world would be a better place. Everyone prefers their own over others just remember that in the future.
@@johnblaze8092 I support black people supporting black people, thanks
@@libragirlgone Then you support whites doing the same, otherwise you'd be a hypocrite and nobody likes a hypocrite. ;)
