This was fan-tas-tic! More laughs per minute than All In the Family! I remember suggesting getting Pete on here a few years ago. He’s quickly becoming a legend. He may foster the Redneck persona, but he’s a freaking genius in innumerable ways. I’d rather meet Pete and shake his hand than any famous athlete, actor, king, or queen. The guy is Royalty himself.
It was so much fun and love your all in the family reference 😂 I told Pete he is “our people” and boy did it work out from both sides. Brat Pak Meets Rednecks is like fighting fire with gasoline! I need more like this. Everyone should hop over to @Jeremy Rhodes channel and drop a comment on any video that he needs to respond to my numerous invites to come on the show. DO IT NOW! .... I’ll wait

Little late to the show. Ive got a cat z1 4 stroke dry sump oil system. After an oil change, does any oil make it past the pump before the key is turned for the initial startup after the oil change or are the first revolutions of the engine dry as oil makes its way through the ports and hoses? This sled i bought in may of '23, 5k kms. Seller started it up just fine, price was great ($2g). Got it home and mothereffer wouldnt start. Tried it off and on over the summer and nothing. Took battery out for an electrical issue i came across, battery was out for month and a half, fixed up elec issue put battery in fired right up. Started it 5 times over 2 days then back to not starting. Needed oil change and when i drained sump and resevoir there was a clump of dirt that came out of each. Proceeded to take body panels/seat/gas tank off to get to throttle body and lo and behold only one boot on the air box was on the throttle body properly. Been sucking dirt for i dont know how long. One spark plug was garbage but both were sooty from dirt burning on them. I put new plugs in cleaned everything that i could and properly reinstalled the airbox boots on the throttle body. Decided to flush oil system so i poured 3 litres of very expensive 0w40 into resevoir and a week later (time constraints) drained both resevoir and sump. Wasnt a drop of the new oil in the sump, hence my question about the dry start after an oil change. Also should I be pulling the oil pump off and inspecting the lines to look for blockages and dirt accumulation. Prefilling filter kinda pointless because it goes on horizontally and will just run out as I'm screwing it on. I dont know how long it was rode sucking air and ive never ridden it yet. I think the guy i bought it from started to experience starting and running problems and sold it. Im guessing it was The guy that didnt put the boots on right that also put lock tight on all fasteners which were stripped in their stamped holes in the frame and the threaded insert fasteners spun in their holes and he couldnt get back into the sled to see what was causing the no start problem. Been a fucking shitshow. Bought it for my son whos up near Timmins and i dont want to see him breakdown in the bush 20 miles from town in -25 conditions. Waddya think?
I think you should post this comment on Pete’s Apex oil change video as I have zero experience in Cat 4 STROKES
