“Open house” is just a day where we invite anyone (families, friends) to come over and eat. There usually is no formality, it’s just come over and eat. And because it usually will be so big (many people will come, big cost) people usually pulll an Open House during the Eid month and not so much in other month. Eid is the Muslim celebration which i think you’ve heard of . So during an Open House everyone in the family is free to invite their school friends or whoever, but you can also decide that the Open House is only for neighbours or only for Relatives (up to your budget and capability to handle it). Nowadays not only families pull an open house, even people who are single and share a house are able to organize it esp if they can cook or have money to pay catering. Singles will invite their friends, kinda like a ‘party’ without the dancing or loud music. Some people cook everythig themselves, some people hire a caterer, order desserts here and there. It’s not from the Islamic religion specifically , more from culture.
Everyone else is always quality over quantity, but Aisyah on the other hand, is always Quality AND Quantity 📈
