- This video was a labor of love and I appreciate you reading this and watching the video. I have had a lot of requests to shoot a video of this nature since I started this UA-cam channel.
The video is going to start with a brief outline of terms. Following which, I describe what I call “the game” in the bass fishing industry. Finally, I give you a step-by-step process of how to get the sponsors you want.
Thank you for watching.

Great video Chase,I'm glad you put this out. This really helps clarify things for a lot of anglers, new and old to our sport.
Grateful for the support!!!!
Well said !! Loved it!!
Thank you!!!
some good stuff here Chase, love the video
Thank you for the positive feedback. What’s the next video you’d like to see?
Hey Chase. Great advice man. As you may know I recently joined KBF and my local group CKA so I guess I’ll start here, show off my skills and hopefully catch the eye of a few companies that I love using. I’ll definitely use what I just learned to get to where I would like to be. Thanks for this much needed info brother. 👊🏾
Like KVD and Strike King. He uses baits that he designed but that dude can catch a fish on anything that has a hook on it. He's good
He is the best!!!
Oh, and I miss the whistling intro with the ducks lol
Thanks!!!
New sub here and thanks for the video!
Thanks for getting involved!!!!
Man lots of good info. I recently just approached a rod company about being on pro staff, I wrote an email and they sent me a email with an application form, but one of the steps is for a fishing resume which I do not have, and is not very good currently.
Awesome video man! Nice editing too. Tight lines! 🤙🏻
You bet!!! Thank you for the feedback. It was a lot longer process than any other video and it was only me talking to the camera.
Also, I subbed you FYI 😂
Thanks chase! Appreciate the sub back. I hate that. The simplest ones always take the longest!
Great video brother!
Thank you!
How do i transition from local tournaments to getting in the pro curcuit
Excellent question. I recommend searching your local area (within 200 miles) and finding tournaments held by the FLW or BASS. A simple google search will suffice. The FLW has an outstanding system for integrating co-anglers with boaters.
So, unfortunatley im not into the bass boat tournament stuff but i am a active member of KBF and member of local kayak bass fishing affiliated organizations, but if im understanding right i should look into traveling to larger events to expose myself more?
dave johnson awesome!!!! That’s how I got started. In fact, met the guy that I fish a ton of tournaments with (boat) when I was fishing a tournament out of my kayak. When you catch fish, people (and sponsors) will notice. Start with the KBF Challenge series and work up to the KBF Trail series. Make sure you qualify for the KBFNC Championship (huge exposure) and attend.
Thanks for your advice, im just ready to take this fishing stuff to the next level
Grate advice stick with the brands you use.
So I noticed you have a feel free kayak affiliation logo on your jersey but you are in a sundolphin? Most sponsors do not want to see you in another product. Very confused here
I am currently in a FeelFree Lure V2 11.5 with peddle drive and 8-ball steering. My old school Sun Dolphin got me to where I am today, but I e upgraded. Thanks for the comment. Look for more videos on the FeelFree soon!
@@ReelandRoll no i get that the sundolphin got you to the feel free. I started in a sit inside sundolphin then got a jackson kayak then was sponsored by jackson and acataully headwaters kayak shop up till they closed this month. I then started wearing jackson fishing team stuff.
You were in a sundolphin but sponsored by feel free? Or were you just repping the feel free stuff in hopes of getting a kayak sponsors? I'm just trying to get an understanding of how people go about what they do. Thanks
@@adventureswithripnlips9165 I signed with FeelFree months ago, my kayak (shipping) was delayed months due to COVID19.
@@ReelandRoll I understand that, just repping a product and putting your name behind a product you don't use daily is not professional. Its bad on the angler and bad for the company juat tossing out deals to everyone. There could be more to it but what I see its tacky. But congrats on all the badges!
@@adventureswithripnlips9165 thank you for the feedback. Before I put anything on a jersey, vehicle, or kayak, I always ensure I have permission from the company. FeelFree and I have a long-standing relationship, but we just needed to get the timing right. Thanks again for your interest.
