I like Jonathan’s version more but I like the spook factor and extra line in MM’s version. Jonathan’s is just more polished while the other version is all over the place- which is NOT a bad thing depending on the mood. Jonathan is a legend! I love the song period!

In the context of the novel/movie, I think this one could be an homage towards Armand. As if we could hear his deepest, rawest, truest thoughts. Angry, angsty teenage feelings mixed in with truly traumatizing and painful feelings and memories.

weird how it's just Manson on the album
In all of the songs Jonathan sings, this is just an isolated version of all the tracks.
What is remarkable however, is that Jonathan perfectly supplemented the vocalists in their own style.
This one hits me hardest, the lead "it's haunting me" is retracted from the official track, but his backing is still there under Manson, he certainly struck upon genius in this soundtrack.
If you relisten to the official soundtrack and listen for Jonathan underneath, you'll hear his vocals. It's awesome.
There were some contractual issues for years because of Davis's record label. I'm actually surprised this album came out.
@@phalanxiatheroan863 and the difference between Davis and Manson's version is not only their singing, but a few more lyrics were added after the last chorus in Manson's version.
Due to a shit contract sony had, he could not use his voice on the soundtrack so he had to hire his buddies to help put it out. I literally cried when I found after 20 years we finally have this. After searching for so long. Redeemed for sure. Im so happy for us and Johnathan for finally being able to use his voice and putting this out for us. Cos in the movie HE IS THE VOICE OF LESTAT. He poured his whole soul into it.
I feel as if Serj Tankian would’ve been great for this song as opposed to the Manson version
