For anyone who doesn’t need or wish to curl/wave their hair: the French twist part starts at 2:20. Thank you so much for such an easy and well explained tutorial! I love it! ❤️
I'm a guy with long black curly hair down to my butt, totally using this hairstyle for a wedding I got coming up. This could easily work as a messy boho updo for men. Combined with a light spring suit & I think you got something! Update: had a lot of trouble keeping everything in place with the French & bobby pins. Probably just need to keep practicing to get the hang of hair pins. It's still a great look & I got some lovely compliments from people. I was able to make it through my event for a couple of hours before it fell apart at home haha. Definitely want to try it again for future looks. Maybe even as a replacement for my current everyday messy bun, and adapt it as a low key, casual updo style, but semi-everyday. Always good to have options and this one definitely works for me, 8 out of 10 👍🏽👍🏽
Not recommended. Men with long gorgeous hair are attractive to women with that bad boy look. French twists don't seem masculine. If you want a woman, stay masculine. Majority of women want a masculine man.
I have to thank Alex for this tutorial. I never do my hair nicely because it's super difficult for me, but I followed this tutorial so I could have a nice hairdo for my bridal shower, and my hair stayed all day long, I barely had to fuss with it. I've never been able to style my hair so well before -- thank you!
Love this look, and freaking grateful I don't have to curl or use any product so it's 5 min and done for me! lol I remember real French twists on ladies when I was a baby in the 60s, so elegant.
The curls really make it.this style is just fabulous…I can’t luv it enough…it’s casual but so stylish….and way too much work for me… There’s no way on this planet I’d bother with this…but I love watching you do it…😘
WOW jealous of your arm strength and endurance for making all those curls!!! I'm good for a couple of minutes but them I'm hurting :( !!!! Beautiful style! Love it !!
This is exactly how I used to do my French twist look.. except I didn’t know to put anchor pins on the side first to help the pins hold the twist up.. but I still never had an issue... but I probably used a lot more pins to hold it up then u needed to!! Love the look & loved knowing I was doing something kind of correct...lol!! Thank for another great video!!!
LOVE THIS VIDEO... I am in the process of moving back to Albuquerque, New Mexico (US) to RE-Open my Acting Studio... and KNOW that I need a new hair style... I used to wear my hair like this many years ago... I"m 67 now, and I want to look professional, and at the same time, have my hair out of my way... I was thinking I had to CUT my hair to have this kind of style... SOOOOOO Glad I found your video... Thank YOU so much... for sharing this great video.
I was doing this to my hair in the 70's lolllll you have put me in mind of doing it again this Christmas ( but i don't need to do the curls thank goodness loll.
Awesome tutorial. My hair already has curls about like yours and is about 16-18" long now. I hope it's long enough cos this style is so cute. I'll have to look up the French pins.
1- Very easy and beautiful hair style. 😍 2- At 1:17 is like a sun silk🌞🤩 3- At 0:54 you don't need any hair styles, you look perfect😍🌹 4- I mentioned it before but the jewelry you choose are as amazing as your dress and hair style chooses. 😁
soooo lovely! can you try to recreate a messy bun like audrey hope’s fundraiser look from the second episode of the gossip girl reboot? i love all your messy updo looks 🥹
I did is for the first time just watching Your video❤u are gorgeus and so natural, your way of explaining the things is so clear, so yessss i sub Ur chanel❤
Hi Alex, I love your videos so much; thank you for doing them! Any tips for fine hair? I have golden blonde hair which I love but the thing I struggle with is making my hair look full; it’s of a very fine texture. Your hair looks so thick and full, I am jealous!
@@katherineklevenow1808 Thanks for the tip. I haven’t tried many dry shampoos or texturising sprays... my mum thinks they will leave white bits in my hair. Any specifics you recommend, particularly texturises?
@@gracieb24 I use Marc Anthony volumizing texture spray and Baptiste dry shampoo. I have never gotten white bits in my hair but once I used too much texture spray and my hair got sticky. Yuk. There are lots of products to thicken fine hair. I like Garnier Full and Plush shampoo and conditioner for fine and flat hair. I hope this helps you
This looks really good (I would personally skip the whole curling process but I totally understand it if somebody wants their straight hair curled) but I wish it was actually as effortless as it looks! It requires so much time and effort :(
Absolutely gorgeous ! Can I please ask what that beautiful white shirt you're wearing for the tutorial part of this video is? It has like trench coat style sleeves i'm so curious! Thank you :)
2:10 I would leave my hair like that 🙂 very nice effect, not too stiff and natural looking. For an informal occasion like a birthday nice look. Can you do it without any tools?
I have the same birth mark on the back of my neck... Love seeing you being comfortable with updos, I always want to avoid them because of it but this is my sign to not care about it.
Quick question, I'd love to know your thoughts on UA-cam Shorts!👇🏻❤️
Love them!
@@hiramalik1519 Me too! I'd love to share some on my channel.
They’re really fun!

Thank you. I was wondering what happened to an easy twist, It takes only 40 mins to curl my hair.
Thanks!

I wore a curled french twist to my prom in 1994. Thanks for bringing it back!
Wow! That was before I was born 💜
Did you style your hair yourself?
IM GOING TO DO IT TOO! For my prom this weekend
Imo, a beautifully done french twist never goes out of style. 😉 It is truly a classic. 😍
Me too! 🙋🏼♀️but in 2001 😄
❤I love the French twist and ladies thanks for sharing your sweet Prom Experiences 💃🏽

You're not wrong, those bobby pins were a pain in the ass to take out after all that work lmaoo

Every hairstyle looks perfect on you!
Such an elegant hairstyle wow😍
It looks beautiful! You also have beautiful hair.
I wore my hair in a French twist for years starting when I was 12 years old & did it myself. I also did the side pins method.
I’ve been wearing this for years! It looks great.
Loved this. Looks easy but let's see when i try it. 😂💌
Love this look,
Can you do more updos for mid length hair please 🤗
Awesome tutorial. My hair already has curls about like yours and is about 16-18" long now. I hope it's long enough cos this style is so cute. I'll have to look up the French pins.
My thin hair is not made for this,
but really beautiful hairstyle! 💛
Lots of curling and hairspray will make a difference. Thin hair can wear this look
I love it! It’s so chic!
This is gorgeous!! I need to buy French pins already. Haha.
So gorgeous💕You are my inspiration✨

Hi Alex, I love your videos so much; thank you for doing them! Any tips for fine hair? I have golden blonde hair which I love but the thing I struggle with is making my hair look full; it’s of a very fine texture. Your hair looks so thick and full, I am jealous!

I have golden blonde fine hair too. I find spraying with dry shampoo and/or texturizer helps it look thicker and fuller

I already have thick, curly hair. I used to wear my hair in a french twist with ONE bobby pin..... KISS = Keep it simple....
I do a one pin twist also.
Beautiful thank you

Wow😍😍 ..ok i need to get a French pin asap 😍😍

Cannot wait for your claw clip hairstyle 💇 tutorial on your UA-cam channel Alex Gaboury.
Plz make video on messy bun with just a hairtie...

I have no time for this 🥺🤷♀️❣️
Could you do a video on hairpin insertion, slowly and close up==I'm such a klutz xo
So freakin cute !!!
Can you teach us how to use French pins? I have no idea how to insert them properly possibly with a zoom in
Yaou are very nice!
Love it ♥
I need my hair to grow faster so I can do this!
This is very pretty, but there is no way my hair would stay up for even a few minutes with just pins.
Is using heat on the hair after using hairspray safe? Would love for my curls to last longer but i feels kind of wrong..
How long did it take you to do this? From start to finish
this is so cute !! but ugh my hair is way too thick and i don’t think the pins will hold the hairstyle together :(
Do you usually have your hair in deep parts?
this is architecture

Hot damn. That’s a lot of work. Beautiful but a lot of work.
Could you please show an updo for straight hair?
Is your hair balayaged or is it highlights? I want to achieve your hair color so badly ! 🥲❤
If you already have curls you can skip ahead to @2:17
How f do o you do the tips without burning your fingers?
I have the same birth mark on the back of my neck... Love seeing you being comfortable with updos, I always want to avoid them because of it but this is my sign to not care about it.
