Idk... Malakai's whole arc was very sad. He wasn't "toxic". He suffered trauma and what happened to him after is considered sa... he wasn't thinking clearly he was traumatised... and probably what dusty and harper did traumatised him even more. He was nothing but good to Amerie up to that point.
Ig it could just be a personal nitpick of mine. How I saw it was the moment something went wrong with him and Amerie he went with Harper- the girl he knew seem to have nothing but malicious intent when it came to Amerie.
I could just be projecting because i've just seen a lot of people that seem nice go off handle and do the worse things possible for no reason or over the slightest bump in their relationship.
@@marrceiI think you’re both right. I think Malaki wasn’t thinking clearly, but also wanted to hurt Amerie and used that as an excuse. Plus he could have told her right away, but he didn’t. So to me, he was vulnerable and never would have done that under different circumstances, but he also wanted to hurt her.

he wasnt cheating, he was SEXUALLY ASSAULTED. Harper and Dusty took advantage of him in an extremely vulnerable state, very intoxicated AND freshly traumatized. Malakai is a victim. Youre literally saying that SA is cheating
Yeah I will stay on this hill until i die, but I'm less mad at Malakai and more upset at Harper and Dusty. Moreso, I'm mad that Harper didn't face any real consequences for basically taking advantage of Malakai when he was INCREDIBLY intoxicated and just went through something extremely traumatic (apparently that scene with the policeman is a common occurrence for indigenous people in Australia)
At least her friends held her accountable, but still. I don't think it's wrong to cut Malakai some slack :/

Guys is it a red flage that I think Amerie got shit on and blamed too heavily by everyone. Like I'm not saying the map wasn't horrible but like... Harper. I have bone to pick with her and he other shity friends. season two we need justice for amerie.
I completely agree. Amerie messed up with harper but she regrets it deeply, but harper didnt own up to her part in making the map and she hooked up with malachi knowing he was ameries bf. I really dont like harper but maybe she turns around in season 2

Everyone loves to favour over malakai for going through trauma and I get that, but so had harper, harper had arguably worse trauma than malakai but NOBODY talks about that, harper and malakai were both in the wrong
Probably because the only thing Malakai did wrong was keeping the threesome a secret from Amerie.
Harper, on the other hand, is practically the reason the show's conflict started, and she acts so antagonistic towards EVERYONE the entire show. Not to mention, she's just kind of ... forgiven in the end for trying to destroy Amerie's life?
And also the fact that she and Dusty TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MALAKAI while he was emotionally vulnerable from not only being intoxicated, but also after just getting hate crimed???

It’s the Malakai sympathizers for me 🥴 yeah what he went through was bad but he’s not escaping accountability and being turned into a victim when his girlfriend tried to help him literally right after the police thing happened he ran away from her because he was so “traumatized” that he went and hung out with her enemies and did what he did he made several choices before the threesome and he should be held accountable so fuck at that other shit!!!
Malakai was not in the right head space to give consent. They had spent the whole day drinking and getting high. Then he was hate crimed which can be traumatic, Dusty and Harper hold majority of the blame in my opinion
@@ambershoba How about we don't play the blame game? Harper was almost gang SA-ed and isn't safe in her own home. I also recall her being on substances too. If we get to excuse Malakai because he has truama we definelty shouldn't be hating on her either

@@JasonToddsThighs I like how everything you claimed I said was just about the opposite of what is actually written. I did not downplay anything nor did I say Harper should get a pass. I said we shouldn't be playing the blame game especially since both of them had messed up things happen to them. It's not right to hate one and put the other up on a pedestal.
