Thanks for doing my 3 reactions: No More Night by David, The Prayer by Pentatonix and Lady by Kenny Rogers. I am glad you enjoyed them and so happy Christian is feeling better. God Bless you guys!
You should react to David and his daughter, Maggie Beth Phelps, "Water". Also, Maggie Bet on her own with "He's Still My Child" Whooooooo The apple didn't fall far from the tree with her!
Someone once said about David that God came down and kissed his throat (and voice). I pray before I leave for heaven to be able to see him in concert. I live about 2 hours from his farm in Georgia and still have been unable to go to one of his concerts held there. But I can listen to him every day on my phone and rejoice in knowing the great God he’s singing about and praising! Hallelujah!!!!
The piano player is Anthony Burger. I met Anthony when he was 16 years old and had just joined the Kingsmen. Anthony's story is amazing. He was in a walker as a baby and it got hung on a floor furnace and burned him. He was carried around for 2 years on a pillow. They said he would never be able to use his hands, but God had other plans. He started to play the piano by ear at around 4. At 6 he was accepted into the Chattanooga Conservatory of Music! Anthony won the Southern Gospel Music award for best pianist so many times they changed it to the Anthony Burger award. Anthony and I stayed friends all through his career and when he joined Bill Gaither in the 90's. In 2006 Anthony was on a cruise called The Singing at Sea. He played the set and when he walked off stage he clutched his chest and collapsed. He was only 46. Anthony touched a lot of lives and was the best piano player I have ever seen! You should react to just his solo music! He was a great man and he loved the Lord and playing for him.
Thanks so much for sharing Anthony’s story as I knew his amazing talent and felt devastated when learned he had gone to the Lord at such a young age. He is in paradise with all the other Homecoming amazingly talented gospel singers and musicians! What a day of rejoicing it will be when all is said and done and the whole church of us believers will be with Jesus and all of them in Heaven!
You have gone down the rabbit hole of the world talent David Phelps. No one can bring you to the gates of heaven like David .He sings with his heart and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Shalom and be blessed.
We played this at my grandmother's funeral. I lived with her the last two years of her life and she hated the night. She was in a hospital bed and I was in the couch next to her to attend to her throughout the night as she was bedridden. She would wake me around 4 or 430 a.m. and ask how much longer until morning. David Phelps is a generational singer. He studied classical and was suffered secular music but declined to pursue a career in Christian gospel music. He began with the Gaither vocal band and mibed in to more contemporary style. End of the beginning is an excellent story telling song and He's Alive is another. Anything Gaither is just outstanding. Rock of Ages, Let Freedom Ring, and he recorded Mary Did You Know with Mark Lowery, one of the cowriters. He si my al time favorite singer.
I was a dj for a christian radio station back in 1989-92 and this song was originally sung and written by Bill Baumgartner! When we would play this song our phones would ring off the hook because of this beautiful song to Almighty God! David Phelps sings with passion because he knows whom he is singing to! One of my favorite songs of all time! There is a major difference between worldly songs and songs that glorify Almighty God! Thank you!
You must go down the rabbit hole of David’s beautiful music such as We Shall Behold Him, Heaven’s Shore. There are so many. He was with Gaither Vocal Band for 18 years. That is when this song was performed. He is a Grammy and Dove Award winner as well
I see a lot of people suggesting Heaven's Shore (which is a masterpiece and certainly worth the watch/listen) but I think that Parable of the River is one of David's best songs that is most often overlooked. I think you two should give both of these a try on your channel.
David Phelps is truly anointed when he sings. 🙌🏼 I have watched this video a million times and it NEVER. GETS. OLD. I still get goosebumps and can’t help but raise my hands in worship to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!!! 🙌🏼 LOVED your reactions!
If you think he's a blessing just seeing a video, you should hear him sing this while sitting on the front row of one of his concerts. Actually, nobody was sitting. We stood the whole time with hands raised in worship and goosebumps all over our body. This man sang for 2 hours and he was 52 years old and his voice is just as strong as when he was 30. He's phenomenal and his Phans love him and pray for him daily. He's the best tenor on earth today!!!
Ain't no way you're reacting to this I was one of the first people to suggest the song on UA-cam I was a patreon of Nick's from that singer reacts and I asked him to react to this after that the song just kind of blew up on UA-cam
Ok , well; great to watch your couple reactions. David Phelps takes you on a journey with each song. He tells a story and enraptures you on his storyline. God bless you two and keep reacting. God loves you and don't waiver. Praying for you. A lot of the people in his stage audience are very well known singers. Look up Gaither Vocal Band. The Gaithers have been writing songs forever. Also "Gaither Homecomings". So many talents other than David
My favorite singer. Been following him for 24 years and just truly blessed by his music. A humble man, loves Christ. Glad to have met him 10 years ago. Kerp it going with David!!!!
David is the best tenor in the business and a wonderful Christian man! Please check out David Phelp's most high and resonate notes on youtube, your jaws will literally drop! Thank you for reacting to this song and David Phelps!

I agree 100% with that. It was recorded not long after 911 and you will be astounded. Gaither Vocal Band featuring David Phelps singing Let Freedom Ring performed at Carnagie Hall.
God bless you for this reaction. I pray that you can react to Christian rapper Toby mac song faithfulness. He wrote this song after losing his son to drug addiction in 2019.
Would love to see what you think about Craig Morgan’s “Almost Home”, Jellyroll’s “Save Me”, and Brad Paisley with Dolly Parton “When I get to Where I’m Going”. Also David Phelps “End of the Beginning”. God bless
Another favorite song of mine is I Still Believe by Russ Taff! Please react to the studio version! Russ Taff was also a member of The Gaither Vocal Band as David Phelps was! Please take more chances with Christian artists so more people will hear the Gospel of Jesus, repent, and come to know Jesus! Thank you!
Yes, Whitney Houston knew of David and commented what a great tenor voice he had. David did Whitney's song I Have Nothing at the age of 51 and he did it in the same key that Whitney sang it. Definitely fabulous.
