What a beautiful bunch of bags ! I started sewing with these kind of bags, but yours are absolutely amazing . Thank you for sharing with us. I watch and appreciate all your videos and now I'm glad to put a face to your skilled hands 😊 I wish you all the best from Bucharest 🤗🇷🇴
I am a bag maker and have made purses also. I decide what I need to use it for and then design the exterior and interior to accommodate what needs to be included. The exterior appearance is what makes a bag remarkable. still working on that!
Bags are so much to make, and you can adapt them to whatever your needs are. I agree that finding the right exterior fabric/design can be a challenge--I'm still working on that, too!
I am also a bag maker, mostly totes. I have never used a pattern. I just wing it and design my own which can be frustrating at times and leads to some last minute change of plans! I mostly used scraps of upholstery fabric from sample books or charity shops or old curtains. I love bold prints and colours so I am rather keen on all the stuff you make.
Love all your bags especially the poppens bag. Really like the fabrics you use!! I don’t make bags mostly because I don’t have much time right now but would love to try making some bags in the future.
Thanks, Kathy! Bags are great fun, and I hope you're able to try some out sometime in the future. (It's amazing how time runs away with us, isn't it???)
I too like the poppins bag. I have never used the metal frame thing that holds it open ... interesting. I have made those lazy girl little bags and gave to grandchildren for their headphones etc. I just thought of ideal gifts fir a family of children I love ... duffle bags. They travel fistances to grandparents and the bag could hold clothes snd treasures!
A beautidul collection of bags. Debbie Shore has some great books with bag patterns. Start with beautiful bags. She also has a book where you design your own bags.
I have several catch all type bags and matching things that I purchased from thirty one. I think my first bag might be that satchel. I could took my kindle, wallet, phone and medications in it and it wouldn’t look so frumpy though I to am mostly frumpy.
Thirty-one bags are great, but it would also be fun to make some with your own fabric choices--and you could customize it to your needs. Satchels are rather spiffy-looking, and pretty handy. (I think we could make "frumpy" a new fashion trend; it certainly would be more comfortable than many trends! 😁)
Thanks, Shannon; I would love to do that, but I hesitate to do a tutorial on someone else's design/work--doesn't seem fair to them! I guess I could ask them. It would be fun to do one of a bag of my own design and I'm giving some thought to that.
Karen..thanks for sharing the bags. They are very artistic. I love how you played on circles and black pocket. I had no idea you designed fabric. Who is manufacture so I can track it down!
Thank you, Pat! As you know, circles are my thing, and I couldn't pass up a chance to add some onto the bag. ☺ My fabric is currently available only on Spoonflower, but I have an agent working on getting it licensed with a manufacturer. Thanks for your interest--and, let it go from your mouth (typing?) to an art director's ears. 🥰
You said 'Belgium'...you won my heart again!
Belgium is such a beautiful country; we wanted to stay forever. ☺

Thank you so much; I'm so happy you are enjoying the videos! And I wish you all the best from the U.S. to Bucharest! 🥰
How nice to see this video. Been a fan of your scrap piecing videos for awhile.
Thank you, Lynn; that's very kind of you! ❤
I haven’t been a bag maker before. I love all of yours and I think I will make some now. TFS. I hope your machine is up and running soon.
Thank you! I hope you make some bags (and we'd all love to see them.) My machine is up and running again, I'm happy to say. ☺
Than you so much for sharing! I made a Poppins bag with Frida Kahlo fabric. You inspired me to make more bags.
Bags are so much fun! The Poppins bag with Frida fabric sounds amazing!!!

Interesting as always!❤
Thanks so much!! ❤️ (Sorry to be so late in replying--UA-cam has been hiding some comments from me, or I'm incredibly unaware; could be either. )
Great bags! Love to make them. Oh yes on your fabric line, I loved them all and that is something new I learned about you today...How cool they are!
Thank you!! Bags are great fun. Sometimes I go quite a long time between making one, but always love doing it. 🥰

Wow, Deb; I'm in awe--designing your own bags, with scraps and findings!! Sounds fabulous.

Would like to see some bag tutorials in the future (please)! Just a suggestion!

I know that situation well....☺
