This began as an experiment around using the Mod Delay to do pseudo-Karplus-Strong/comb filter things, and expanded from there are the Lyra made it clear what it felt like doing this evening. Lots of tuning and re-tuning of the voices as the Hyper LFO pushed and pulled things around.
As well as the Flashback delay pedal you can see on the table, I added a little bit of reverb in post, in particular the free and excellent sounding KPlateD from @( • Airwindows kPlateD: Fr... ). @airwindows you should definitely check out the whole "KPlate" range of reverbs - they are very good.

Every time I see the Lyra-8 in action I feel the vibe with this machine. Glorious.
It's pure punk
@@annother3350 It's so punk.
Such rich, raw tones and textures on this O S !
Thank you! The lyra-8 excels at both raw tones and textures.
What an absolutely glorious row!
It really gives me Hotline Miami vibes, specifically the scene where Jacket talks to the Masks (they use "Silver Lights" by Coconuts in the game there). Wild synth, great performance.
gotta get a grip
Thank you! I've never played Hotline Miami - it's one of those games that's on the list that I never got around to.
@@OscillatorSink it’s quite difficult, even though it’s a short game you can spend hours on each level. Thankfully there’s a bunch of albums and playlists with the music from both the games!
Haha, wow! Certainly harsher on the ears than your other performances, but very interesting. Kind of reminds me a little of the score from Quatermass and the Pit... this could be a game soundtrack, too, perhaps.
Put a beat behind that metallic shriek and you've got an industrial track to rival anything Throbbing Gristle did! Even something as simple as a Korg Volca Beats through the external input makes for a great combination with the Lyra 8 itself.
Cheers! I need to start exploring the external input - especially interested to see how it can be used to modulate other parts of the instrument.
😂🤣👍👏🏻👏🏻
