And we travel to Germany cause we find it beautiful and exiting. Here I'm watching this from Las Vegas, NV. You don't do it cause Germany is boring, you do it cause you two are explorers and have the heart of adventurers. Watching this again after you announced your 1st Season end. Watching and waiting for your next adventure!
Very nice, thanks for the geographical reference, couple of months ago the furthest I went was to Darmstadt, on a quick visit to Frankfurt. As well, I kind to have the same situation with my girlfriend, she loves nature and camping and I'm the petrolhead haha. For the Range you even took apart the housing, quite a lot of things you are getting into, hehe. Intrigued about those boxes...
The world is a weird place and we still haven't really been able to find a stable way really of living in it. So doing you OWN THING really doesn't seem so bad at all. Wish you all the best.
I understand your feelings guys. I was born in a beautiful country where people didn't travel the much and I always wanted to be a globetrotter, an explorer. I'm glad you guys are doing it. I'm on my own and I'm camping & petrol head bloke. P. S I had some good laugh with your misus she's funny😂 and you guys seems to be a great team together. 😊😊
Very good - inspires me to do something similar to my girlfriends' Land Rover Discovery 2. We are in a similar situation where she is the camping girl and I am the petrol head. =)
Enjoying going through your videos tonight. One question, though: why are you recording these in English? I certainly appreciate it, because otherwise I wouldn't understand, but... what was your thinking about recording them in English versus German?
It‘s two things really, both revolving around the audience. Most germans speak a little english, by comparison few people speak german, more so in the tiny niche of old Range Rovers. And while we are both german, one of the reasons to get on the road was that we didn‘t really see us fit in the system we grew up in. The english speaking media seems to be a lot more progressive too, but that is just a side effect. Having someone comment on the matter in english kinda proves the point, so thanks! ✌🏼
Was just looking for a DCRC 2020 event at MSC Nordvorpommern e.V. Offroad Gelände Steinhagen. Looking at it on google maps (54°12'54.9"N 13°01'23.6"E), I can fully understand, that if you like offroading or overlanding, You want to get out of Germany. That place is kind of sad.
