It is not like you said everyone praise vtech . That's because after crossing 5 000 rpm you get kick in pants feel it becomes still brutual when you turbo charge it you can't get that in others . And like you said it is people are not overating it . It really deserve to get overrated . Yes money is also one of the reason because you can't match the performance of those cars when buying used car under 5 lacs . But for today vw had managed to give superb performance with their tsi engines
Awesome explanations... very few may have the capability to explain like this; I am a microbiologist, still I understood the mechanisms of car eingine. Think of doing R&D invent new mechanisms to increase milage so as to utilize fuel effectively. All the best.
Excellent explanation for VTec, but yamaha's R15 and aerox has VVA which is a slightly different technology, where single inlet and exhaust works till 6000 rpm and second inlet and exhaust valve works post 6000 rpm, Thanks

Great explanation. Thanks for the video. Are there any other engines that have same capablitiy without using Turbo or other such addons. v-Tec seems like a simple tweak to the shaft yet great result. I feel that might be the reason it is slightly overrated as you pointed out.

Bro i think andha 3 vadhu cam la andha stick poi join agadhu i think,Cause first even thought namma oru 20km la poona kooda cam oda speed eppadiyum oru 1000 rpm la suthudu nu vachikonga then andha blue stick poi seradhu it's a little complicated..Maybe andha 3rd cam vandhu either 1 and 2nd cam la oru joint pottu mela thokivitrukulam so when the power is needed oru Chinna joint from 3rd cam sticks with previous 1& 2nd but since the 3rd cam is bigger the 1&2 was running along with 3rd.So idhu ennoda perspective la Naan yosichen bro,not sure 🤔 about my theory

Vtec kicked in yoo!🤣🤣 But the Indian Hondas never got the actual V-tec bro... The SOHC engine had the Vtec-e (which is more on the efficient side where the cam activation is for low-mid performance only) unlike the actual V-tec which would blast performance to high end! And the Ivtec is the like the electronically controlled version of it... Only the original JDM Hondas & some international versions had the vtec. Such a shame that we may never get to see it here😭😭
Vtec for low or mid performance??? Please take a drive on B15C2. You will change your opinion. That is the reason why it stands out apart from all other generations on Honda city sold in India.
@@ankushm6672 yeah I know bro, the first gen city is still one of the best Indian cars ever made... But still they don't come with the actual V-tec. It's the nerfed version, with SOHC called V-tec E made for the Indian market😌 made to be efficient on the low rpms & mid performance when the V-tec kicks in... that's why the Japanese verisons always stay a step ahead of ours
@@pdsuncut3632 First gen city VTEC(B15C2) has proper VTEC mechanism not VTEC-E, they also have another VTEC mechanism called 3stage VTEC abroad..if you have any doubts contact RaceConcepts Bangalore they will clarify your doubts.

Everything is ok but vtech was first introduced in late 1989 not in city s first gen . And r15 do not have vtech and .vtech is completely different as you said and no other brand uses it .instead other brand use a different camshaft itself but Honda do that in one camshaft . VVA and vtech is not same .
