It’s so crazy how you & I are pretty much similar in age & I still haven’t moved out of my parents house, besides the few semesters I went off to a far college. I just love seeing these types or videos because it gives me ideas of what I would want & how to decorate my own place whenever I make that move. Move to Texas and just buy a house! Darius is a bb coach right? I’m sure he’ll get a job fast, moving out of California was the best thing we ever did.. we do miss LA but Nashville is so calm and cheap California is definitely a place to visit but not to live in anymore 🤷🏽♀️ but I am happy you guys are moving out ! You deserve to be in a place where you have to feel 100% safe and comfortable
oo but I've been TRYING to convince him lol. Simply because living out there would just make more sense financially. But moving out of state is definitely a huge move so I can see why he's nervous or hesitant. Of course I don't want us to force anything either but we'll see! haha

It’s really hard especially like for you guys who are really close to your family it’d be so hard, I really feel like if we didn’t have our 2 kids we would’ve went back forsure but we think about them now what’s best for them not what we miss or want but it’s a big decision so maybe in the far future it doesn’t even have to be Texas lol idk why I said that maybe because I saw a huge ass house for 150k but it would be AZ or Nevada far but at the same time close
Unfortunately, because so many people are moving here Nashville is becoming more expensive. Also, traffic is starting to get insane no matter where you live here.
Mary Barnes the traffic here it not even compared to the LA traffic lol so for us it’s normal rent did go up but you still find cheap out of Nashville nothing here in Nashville will ever compare to how expensive it is in LA but you’re so right we moved 5 years ago and it was sooo soo cheap and everything went up
rae Fig I am aware, I lived in LA for 3 years as well as New York so I’ve dealt with my fair share of traffic. As I was saying Nashville is becoming so populated that travel times are increasing (prior to COVID my evening commute home was over 2 hours and I live in Hendersonville). Also, the rent is increasing here while salaries are remaining the same. My old 1 bedroom in Antioch was 700.00 a month, now goes for 1100.00.
I completely understand about you not feeling safe. You made the right decision! If you don’t girl safe it’s hard to enjoy your space. From the background alone I can tell it’s probably noisy often. People often ask me why I don’t buy a home yet either I personally enjoy the low maintenance for now. It’s the house responsibility I’m not ready for. Happy for you guys! Be safe and have a smooth move! 💜

we got our apartment 4 months after you. and lemme tell you we got fooled! when we got our apartment all the leasing agents really made us feel like they’ll take care of us and they were the best choice. come to find out they don’t care at all about any of us. if something breaks good luck tryna get something fix! they don’t respond to any concerns from any of us. once are lease is up we are out!
Hahaha this is sooooo real. But actually where we live currently the management was so nice! But that’s about it 🙃 and the interior of our home of course. But that happens so often with renting for sure.
This gets me so excited for when i move in and get to decorate my own apartment!

I’m happy your moving but before I move somewhere I google the crap out of the neighborhood, the schools, etc. My husband and I moved from Chicago to Miami and now we left Miami and are in Orlando with our 3 babies and it was the best decision. Not only should your home feel like home in the inside but also when you step outside. You are going to feel great in your new place. but anyway good luck 🍀 with everything 😉

ABSOLUTELY. I think it happens a lot too though especially when it’s a decent price and in a convenient area.. we try to see the pros and cons but sometimes you really just don’t know until living there. I’ve lived in our current city for 12+ years but different area of the same city can be SO different. Really happy you and you’re family were able to find that peace within your home and we’re excited to get ours soon ❤️

Thats a long time from what I've experienced. The longest it's taken is really only a few days. Not any longer than a week
