Coming from an iPhone 3GS, the 15 pro has been a great upgrade. Screen is much sharper and the camera takes amazing pictures. By the time I upgrade to the iPhone 24, Apple will be doing things I can't even imagine.
I don’t understand the heat complaints, I got mine and flew overseas the next day and used it during the entire flight for games & videos and have been on it constantly since with no heat issues at all.
It’s funny how you mentioned bc it’s titanium, it’s more scratch resistant - which may be true, if not for the fact that there is a glass layer on top of the titanium body. Plenty of videos out there shows how people can literally crack the glass top layer with their thumbs. 😂. The titanium was used more for its light weight properties compared to steel.
It does that because of the strong titanium design, not allowing it to bend, compared to aluminum. It not bending with the glass puts a ton of pressure on it, causing it to break. Too strong for its own good.
I keep hearing about the “14 pro max battery issues” from UA-camrs which is really confusing as mines after almost a year is at 98% capacity and I’m a power user. I’m guessing people with this issue run betas which are known to destroy battery health; without knowing how the phone was used, that information’s merit seems completely shallow. I’d love to hear others experiences.

I really wish I had watched videos/reviews before upgrading. I upgraded a month ago and hate the size now, feels too big in the hands but i wanted to get it cause of the features it had but as someone with smaller hands it sucks cause I end up feeling like I'm getting carpal tunnel from holding such a large device. The phone also very easily cracked compared to my old iphone XS which endured for years but started to overheat and freeze up so I was forced to upgrade.
Titanium is lighter but it's not any tougher, it's actually weaker...Steel is stronger than Titanium. Titanium is only better weight to strength ratio. Simply put, it's just lighter. It's significantly weaker than steel, I really don't understand where the misconception came from. Maybe people are confusing Titanium with Tungsten.
Let me list the amount of things that are irritating about the IPhone15 max pro that I just received today. 1 The keyboard is awful compared to Samsung galaxy. The press and hold options make the galaxy's keyboard faster for texting and much less frustrating. 2. The ability to set message appearance is lacking and difficult to send links as paste is non existent for chat. 3 you cannot place app icons in any location they all have to be placed in order from left to right. There seems to be no quick way to shut down all open apps to save battery life. There are some apps that are pointless for me an example would be shortcuts app. I am not even sure how to use the app things are already easy enough to find. 4 cancel is used instead of a back arrow. The layout is just horrible and not at all user friendly compared to Samsung galaxy phones. I am sure I will have more complaints. There are some good options. The pronouns section for contacts is really 😂. If they can fix the keyboard function and linking for text messages that would be great. The keyboard has to go.
The real untold truth is that the "natural titanium" color is highly overrated. It's just... Gray. White has the exact same titanium edges and a better, white back

I bought tht phone. Overall it is better than 14. But I cannot stress this enough. It is hot hot hot and hot! And sometimes it won't charge because it is hot! Temp sometimes reach 44°C up to 50°C. Apple need to address this!
I’m really sorry to hear that, that would definitely be unacceptable for me too. My PM is actually far cooler than my 11 was. I count myself lucky though but I haven’t had even the slightest warming up the whole time and I’ve been on my phone a lot more often since upgrading. Mine runs exceptionally cool but I don’t use Instagram(connected to the heat issues for many), I don’t wirelessly charge regularly, and I turned off the always on display as soon as I got it. I personally believe that a lot of the variation in peoples’ experiences could come down to the silicon lottery too. Seems to play a bigger role here than previous devices imho. I expect they may have even lowered the original threshold for the chip performance due to the increased demand, lower supply, and race to manufacture more. I imagine it largely comes down to some chips just run hotter(less efficient) to reach the same clock speeds asked of them. Sounds like if they did, they clearly lowered the bar too far. The “fix” they have coming soon worries me a lot for mine though, since mine works well and it will likely slow it down in order to address this wider issue. I do hope it helps yours or you get a replacement though. Good luck.

Nice review, i would say upgrading from 13 pro or earlier is worth it, but from 14 pro depends on how bad you need a usb c charging port, lighter weight and the camera updates, it’s not a minor upgrade but not a huge one as well so it all depends on on preferences
The PM has been a great purchase for me coming from a well-used and battery-drained iPhone 11. Been holding off upgrading for as long as I could and considering I’m not switching to Android _anytime_ in the near future-this works great for me. I’m quite happy with it, though it could always be better. The usb-c is crucial for me and I told myself I wouldn’t buy another iphone until it was there. The camera upgrades were something I sorely needed too, but not for just selfies and teenager shit-more for macro stuff, the zoom, and I have a little black dog(that’s got health issues) that you literally couldn’t make out her features at all on most cameras regardless of light-and having quality photos/videos of her is incredibly important to me. Also I haven’t had the slightest warming up since it came out and I count myself lucky for that; runs cooler than my 11 did with always on display turned off. I’ve even used my phone way more than usual since I’ve upgraded and I also don’t use instagram which is connected to a large number of peoples heat issues. I also chalk some of it up to the silicon lottery playing a role in how efficiently the chips can perform at the level required of them and could easily explain some of the differences between users’ temperature reports.

I have the iPhone XR and just ordered the 15 pro in tia blue and got the otter box so don’t care what it looks like just happy I have a phone the xr is a awesome phone I have been underwater about 5 times and dropped it 10 story’s and still works fine the battery is about 60 percent now so I need a update but what a great phone

you missed the biggest difference between the 14 and 15 and thats usb-c. it adds crazy amount of functionality. that moved me to buy it, not the titanium, or slim display bezels, or battery life. that and the fully programmable action button add functionality in a way never seen on iphone. they always get better battery life and slimmer bezels. these changes are iphone 15 unique and enough reason to switch.

I never had a scratch issue with the 14pro I didn’t use a case all that often. I also didn’t use a screen protector. I’ve dropped it on the screen. Laid it on there constantly I gotta say that Ceramic Shield is pretty solid it held up great. My step son loves the thing after I got a different phone.

The iPhone 15 pro and pro max are failures period. They are too cheaply made. They flex to the breaking point. The processor overheats due to a lack of necessary heat sinks and the screen actually burns. These are hardware and manufacturing problems that cannot be solved with software updates. All Apple can do is cut down the processing power and reduce the screen power. The battery overheats when charging which is because Apple raised the battery amperage without sufficient cooling. Basically Apple decided to go cheap but make the cosmetics look spectacular. Form over function and bad engineering all to make it the cheapest iPhone ever made. If 16 is as bad they will have lost a long time complete ecosphere customer. I simply will not pay for inferior products.

@@Raec123 Yeah being a medium sized guy, I found the max just too big for my hands, so I swapped the max for the normal sized one. My 13 pro was normal sized, now my 15 pro is too. It just feels so good in the hand, and doesn’t make my hand ache.
"dynamic island" is a stupid design choice. It wastes more space than the notch, and there is no reason why they couldn't have made a "dynamic notch" instead. Better yet, just put the camera/etc ABOVE the screen (*gasp*). (I know, Apple is perfect. I should borrow all of my opinions from Apple marketing. Shame on me.)

I'm in Texas & expect a $1000+ product to work flawless! My Wife's 13 Pro was the best Pro iPhone Made! It rarely sees below 65% to 70% at the end of the day & all she does is watch movies but, it gets Thermal 🔥 also. My 8+ got extremely hot & it seemed to start when we downloaded Netflix. Since deleting Netflix, it still gets hot at least once a month but more like once a week lately. I switched to the S22 Ultra & I'm still learning everything this phone has to offer me in Sept 23! Not a single issue with my 512 Note 10+ and my S22 Ultra. They run just as smoothly as an iPhone without having overheating issues & they are so feature packed!
The S22/23 (ultras) are both excellent hardware. The problem is, when you take an incredible photo and share it, (or a video) they both look like absolute trash because they can't send a clear picture to another phone. (samsung to samsung, using samsung messenger can work) I'd bet that 70% of your friends have iPhones and when you send media, it looks like straight garbage. iMessage and Facetime alone are worth staying on iPhone. I have a pixel 7 and hate that when I send a pic to iPhone, it looks SO bad because the camera is amazing. So I have a 15 Pro as a main and pixel as a toy to play with.

I always laugh at people saying "I'm a phone power user". Like what exactly are you power using about the phone? Especially an iPhone

I dropped my 13 pro on the edges and did not get a crack. I've dropped the 15 pro max on the edge and it cracked immediately.

The camera upgrades were something I sorely needed too, but not for just selfies and teenager shit-more for macro stuff, the zoom, and I have a little black dog(that’s got health issues) that you literally couldn’t make out her features at all on most cameras regardless of light-and having quality photos/videos of her is incredibly important to me.
Also I haven’t had the slightest warming up since it came out and I count myself lucky for that; runs cooler than my 11 did with always on display turned off. I’ve even used my phone way more than usual since I’ve upgraded and I also don’t use instagram which is connected to a large number of peoples heat issues. I also chalk some of it up to the silicon lottery playing a role in how efficiently the chips can perform at the level required of them and could easily explain some of the differences between users’ temperature reports.
I need everything you mentioned minus the camera upgrades lol. If this phone still have a lightening port it would be a no brainer to keep my iPhone 14 pro

I have the iPhone XR and just ordered the 15 pro in tia blue and got the otter box so don’t care what it looks like just happy I have a phone the xr is a awesome phone I have been underwater about 5 times and dropped it 10 story’s and still works fine the battery is about 60 percent now so I need a update but what a great phone

@@himanshubhamma3233 Overall, if you can treat your phone correctly, get the 15 pro. It’s been great, with no glass breaking. I have dropped it without a case plenty of times and had no major damage. If you don’t want fingerprints, please do get the natural titanium.

i also think that the fine woven case is cheap in quality but has the same price as the premium leather case of iphone 14 pros.
I got my fine woven case free from Verizon due to an issue I had. I love this case, it actually feels nice and haven’t seen any issues with it.

you missed the biggest difference between the 14 and 15 and thats usb-c. it adds crazy amount of functionality. that moved me to buy it, not the titanium, or slim display bezels, or battery life.
that and the fully programmable action button add functionality in a way never seen on iphone. they always get better battery life and slimmer bezels. these changes are iphone 15 unique and enough reason to switch.

I never had a scratch issue with the 14pro I didn’t use a case all that often. I also didn’t use a screen protector. I’ve dropped it on the screen. Laid it on there constantly I gotta say that Ceramic Shield is pretty solid it held up great. My step son loves the thing after I got a different phone.

The iPhone 15 pro and pro max are failures period. They are too cheaply made. They flex to the breaking point. The processor overheats due to a lack of necessary heat sinks and the screen actually burns. These are hardware and manufacturing problems that cannot be solved with software updates. All Apple can do is cut down the processing power and reduce the screen power. The battery overheats when charging which is because Apple raised the battery amperage without sufficient cooling. Basically Apple decided to go cheap but make the cosmetics look spectacular. Form over function and bad engineering all to make it the cheapest iPhone ever made. If 16 is as bad they will have lost a long time complete ecosphere customer. I simply will not pay for inferior products.

I'm considering upgrading from the iPhone 11 pro to the iPhone 15. As you said, the 15 doesn't look to be as comfortable as the 11 pro. I largely use the camera for x2 portrait pictures; do you think the iPhone 15 will be a significant improvement for this?

@@Raec123 Yeah being a medium sized guy, I found the max just too big for my hands, so I swapped the max for the normal sized one. My 13 pro was normal sized, now my 15 pro is too. It just feels so good in the hand, and doesn’t make my hand ache.

My Wife's 13 Pro was the best Pro iPhone Made!
It rarely sees below 65% to 70% at the end of the day & all she does is watch movies but, it gets Thermal 🔥 also.
My 8+ got extremely hot & it seemed to start when we downloaded Netflix. Since deleting Netflix, it still gets hot at least once a month but more like once a week lately.
I switched to the S22 Ultra & I'm still learning everything this phone has to offer me in Sept 23!
Not a single issue with my 512 Note 10+ and my S22 Ultra. They run just as smoothly as an iPhone without having overheating issues & they are so feature packed!
The S22/23 (ultras) are both excellent hardware. The problem is, when you take an incredible photo and share it, (or a video) they both look like absolute trash because they can't send a clear picture to another phone. (samsung to samsung, using samsung messenger can work) I'd bet that 70% of your friends have iPhones and when you send media, it looks like straight garbage. iMessage and Facetime alone are worth staying on iPhone. I have a pixel 7 and hate that when I send a pic to iPhone, it looks SO bad because the camera is amazing. So I have a 15 Pro as a main and pixel as a toy to play with.
