This was really interesting and it's not the first time I have seen this with LV bags. About 4 or 5 years ago, when the neo noe was first released some had decorative stitching on the handles and some didn't and there was mass hysteria all over youtube as so many people thought they had bought one that wasn't properly finished. LV's reaction was pretty typical, some had it and some didn't, so what? When you pay that sort of money for a bag that really isn't good enough. You expect quality control to be better than that.

Actually there are tons of Louis Vuitton bags that are not symmetrical and that doesn’t mean they are fake. In many cases the picture of the bag on the website does not look exactly how they produce it in real life. I’ve heard that they do this to throw off copycats but I’m not sure how much truth there is to that. I am an avid LV collector and love handbags so I have seen many instances where LV is not consistent with the picture they put on their website. Great video and topic and beautiful bag!❤️❤️❤️

Great video! Yes, these differences happens a lot with anything printed from any luxury house. I too have questioned items that looked different from the website. It’s because they cut the canvas or leather to minimize loss. Otherwise they would have to throw too much of it away. As someone else commented, the sad thing is symmetry is not always a sure sign either. Almost all of my bags that were made in the U.S. lack symmetry (I'm thinking specifically of my three Neverfulls--all purchased in the boutique); they don't line up on the side seams. At least for me, only my "made in France" bags tend to be flawless.
It’s funny you did this as a topic , I was just going back and fourth with a friend on Facebook who just purchased the Palm Springs mini and she brought it in to exchange it because her front black tab was so lightly stamped with the words “Louis Vuitton Paris” it really bothered her , so her CA was able to exchange it and her new one has a much better stamped front tab , however we both noticed that our bags have the top handles placed differently , mine is made in France and placed more in the middle of the top of the bag , hers is made in USA and placed more towards the back of the top of the bag , I realized it was something that was noticed by others in the LV fb addicted group ,so I decided to look at the online photos and I notice the online photos show the handle placed in the middle exactly like mine , so had she not purchased it directly from Lv that could be something to for sure lead someone to believe they were given a replica . I think there should be guidelines all of the artisans need to follow so there are not differences from 1 bag to the next ! I feel like symmetry is something Lv once truly prided themselves on , sadly today it seems to be overlooked ! But very interesting video ! Very interesting indeed. If there is a doubt though, just check with the store! There was a UA-camr who ordered shoes from the Chanel boutique and got fakes... Not trying to scare, but sometimes things can slide. Someone returns a super fake and the SA sells it on. Trust your gut I guess !

I know LV way to good , I had a Rabat Cles I bought and did a real vs fake video on it , I knew right away something was off , but was told by a so called professional authenticator that it was real , had I not continued to investigate I would have paid for a replica , I had it professionally authenticated by another more known person and I was indeed correct , as close as a replica can come for Louis Vuitton , it wouldn’t be close enough for me , with canvas pieces anyway , I can’t speak for their leather bags because I am more of a canvas girl . My sister in law has a pretty good replica of the Palm Springs mini , I can spot the things that are wrong right away ,I know my friends bag is real too cause she’s not the only one to notice made in USA minis handle is more set back than in the middle , I’ve noticed it on a Ton of different Palm Springs mini videos ! But never hurts to double check ! I can def see how it can happen , the warehouses for sure don’t do good quality checks , it’s easy for someone to return a good fake and them not realize it and resend it to someone else ! Pretty sure it happens more than we hear about that’s for sure !

My bag is a USA bag, and I checked...they were right! Now, I can't un-see the problem...it's barely visible, and it happens to be on the leather tab right in front! Gosh, it can't be that difficult to properly stamp Louis Vuitton i=onto a piece of leather! Marni yes girl that’s another issue , I actually did a video on this front tab issue , it’s in my new version Palm Springs mini video , I show very upclose , detailed photos of the one I had previously (made in USA ) and the one I have now (made in France ) I could barley see the “Louis Vuitton Paris” on the made in USA one I had compared to how deeply my new one is stamped , it was something I let go and tried not to let it bother me , but in the back of my mind , like you said , I knew it was there and I had a hard time unseeing it ! I have a friend that just exchanged her brand new one for this very reason , her CA was gracious enough to do it for her , but she waited for quite a long time for another one to come in . If the bottom of the bag have flower cut off above the horizontal line in the middle (so the top of the flower stick out from that line) and right below the bottom of that line, there are flowers cut off too (so the bottom of the flower stick out from the line) -- does this mean it’s a fake?
I noticed that the MM vs the GM is the difference. On the MM, my friends dosen't have the tip of the fleur de lis on the sides and on the top but on my the GM it DOES does have the tip of the fleur de lis on the sides and on the top. WOW!! I agree about not carrying backpack when i am travelling and am in crowds etc. I will use it on the plane as carryon however. My most recent trip i brought my backpack, nylon tote and Senreve Aria from *amzrepe* . Nylon tote was used during the day for sightseeing and easily fit everything i needed. Evenings or when i didn't want to lug too much I used the Aria. It can be worn as belt bag, sling or clutch. I have chain strap to swap in if i need fancy look too.

I Called LV and they told me to take it to a store to have it checked but they say that their handbags are hand made and that they may have little differences in measurements. I have seen plenty fakes around, even on the street (granted, they were the monogram canvas replicas). Also (don’t want to freak you out here but it can happen), warehouses could ship a super fake. If someone returns a super fake instead of the real one, the warehouse accepts the return but doesn’t inspect it properly and proceeds to ship it to someone else, it COULD happen. Has happened with another UA-camr here (with shoes though). The chances are slim, but it always helps to inspect your bag to the fullest. 😘😘
I order the same bag on line and it has the same pattern like your and made in the USA as wellThere was a defect in the lining so i called customer service for an exchange. The replacement bag doesnt have the extra flower patterns and a midge smaller and made in France. The organizer I ordered no longer fit. I think these bags are different in design depend on where they are manufactured.

Did you ever get it authenticated professionally? Did you only take SA’s word for symmetry? I have the same bag and it looks the same as the photos on the site.. the way your monogram is placed is as if was a GM or PM.. MM placement is different from what I’ve seen. Only asking because resellers do sell replicas for authentic prices sometimes.
I bought mine from LV directly and I have no doubts about authenticity. Some bags did come like that and it doesn’t bother me now anymore. Mine is the GM.

Actually both your bag and the website bag have the same pattern for the frame but LV might have digitally monitored/removed the partials on the edges... If you look at the lines with 3 designs the distance from the edge is the same. other brands also have slightly different renderings than actual manufacture bags.
Maybe they have a slightly different one pictured on the website to throw the people who make the fakes off? My onthego GM also has the “leaves” on the side and it came directly from LV.
i guess it defends on the branches or in the country where it was made, because i have a speedy bandouliere in damier ebene purchased in LV France and one purchased LV NY(for my mom) they have a little differences with each other that can be notice once you check each bags.

I have an authentic Melie bag that is horribly misaligned on the bottom. Nevertheless, I keep buying because I love the classic look of the monogram.

I still love my LV reverse monogram *hqluxy* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

I order the same bag on line and it has the same pattern like your and made in the USA as wellThere was a defect in the lining so i called customer service for an exchange. The replacement bag doesnt have the extra flower patterns and a midge smaller and made in France. The organizer I ordered no longer fit. I think these bags are different in design depend on where they are manufactured.

Did you ever get it authenticated professionally? Did you only take SA’s word for symmetry? I have the same bag and it looks the same as the photos on the site.. the way your monogram is placed is as if was a GM or PM.. MM placement is different from what I’ve seen. Only asking because resellers do sell replicas for authentic prices sometimes.
I bought mine from LV directly and I have no doubts about authenticity. Some bags did come like that and it doesn’t bother me now anymore. Mine is the GM.

My bag looks exactly like the website. No pointy cut offs. Maybe I got lucky, because all the ones I’ve come across have it? I have yet to see a perfect placement with no cut offs. I purchased mine directly from LV in Caesar Forum in Vegas. Do the perfect alignment have more resell value, I wonder?

Actually both your bag and the website bag have the same pattern for the frame but LV might have digitally monitored/removed the partials on the edges... If you look at the lines with 3 designs the distance from the edge is the same. other brands also have slightly different renderings than actual manufacture bags.
Maybe they have a slightly different one pictured on the website to throw the people who make the fakes off? My onthego GM also has the “leaves” on the side and it came directly from LV.

And the patterns being symmetrical is not accurate anymore. I have been a LV girl since '06 and quality control is seriously lacking. I have an authentic Melie bag that is horribly misaligned on the bottom. LV does all sorts of "wonky, gonky, weird things." 🤣🤣😂Honestly, I've seen some fakes that were better constructed than my authentics. Nevertheless, I keep buying because I love the classic look of the monogram.

This could be wrong - but, I heard the website images are computer generated and not actual photos of the items. This could explain why things don’t always look exactly the same in person. ❤️

It just really depends on how they cut the piece of leather! It has to be symmetrical, that’s all, not correspond 100% to what’s on the website.
