      Thank you for watching. Just a little tip regarding the inka gold, if you can scoop a small amount out using a spoon it such like rather than putting your fingers directly into the product it will help preserve it, it can produce mold if you use your fingers. Also if it dries out use a little water (spray bottle is handy) to revive it. ❤️

    Such a soft, pretty effect! Love it! I don't have any of those gorgeous Inka Golds, but you've inspired me to try this technique using my (also gorgeous) Liquitex pearlescent inks. Thanks for the inspiration!!

    Lovely concept. After hearing Val (the recent Mrs Evans!), speak so highly of you of course I had to visit your channel. Her recommendations were indeed well-founded. I will subscribe and return to your channel for even more inspiration. Thank you for sharing.

    These are just lovely. Thank you fir sharing. Do you have to use any kind of sealer after baking? Also, how did you get the wonderful curve on you baked piece in the video?

      Cheryl Hoolihan, I haven't used any sealer as I found putting it through the pasta machine helped to embed it into the clay, if I was going to I may use a spray varnish like PYMII. The curve was placing it on an upturned small bowl. Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed it.

    Your pieces are lovely & I appreciate you sharing your hard work, but I do have a question. I tried creating a veneer the same way you did without the archival inks. After the inka gold sat on the raw Premo clay overnight, it appeared to fade. Have you experienced this with the veneer you did? Thanks again for sharing your work.

    • @tjaysilver
      @tjaysilver  7 років тому

      DixieMarie Designs, it has faded a bit but I think that was more down to putting it through the pasta machine with some paper on it. I have a couple of pieces that I haven't done anything with yet, they are in a plastic box so I will take a look tomorrow. I don't expect the colour to be as vibrant as it is a bit watered down. Maybe a coat of varnish may boost the colour a bit. Sorry I cannot be more help.

      Thank you so much for responding. Maybe I didn't get it thick enough, so I'll give it another go.

      DixieMarie Designs, I did find with the 'green yellow' that I couldn't get it as vibrant looking as rage blue or violet, perhaps you could try two coats, maybe?
