Was speaking to a guy from Manchester, who has been to all but about 6 of the Glasgow St Pats shows, a few years back. I managed to beat him, because I have only missed one of them (the first one in 1992) though I live far closer, only 30 miles away, rather than 200! Was speaking to people from Bolton in the pub before going in this year and a woman up on her own for it, from Preston in 2019. Name dropping time: I was at the show with the uncle of a certain famous tennis player from my home town, at the second of this year's shows. He was going to see them for the first time since 1980 and seemed pretty impressed!
They sold out two nights this year in Glasgow and are doing two nights next year as well, Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th. The tickets have already gone on sale for that. Not sure if it's sold out yet, but a friend has assured me he's got me one for the 17th at least! Just as well he contacted me and told me they were on sale, as I assumed it wouldn't be for about another 6 months, before they went on sale. I have been to all their Glasgow St Patrick's shows, except the first one in 1992. Almost didn't get in this year, but standing outside, looking forlorn, with a carboard sign, saying I was looking for a ticket worked a treat! Then, who should I bump into inside, but a friend who had accidentally bought a weekend ticket for it, but could not make the next night, so I got in for the 18th as well, which was a good birthday present!

Saw them at the Barras in 2000. I think I was the only English guy in the crowd. Kept my gob shut and absolutely loved em.
Plenty of folk come every year from England and have become friends
