    This a brilliant video Aiden, and all. I'm a keen viewer of all your deep dives, 10 day trends and even caught up on your most recent live video. But I love this video, mainly because of the immediate update of an incoming storm and rapid change in temp nationally. If I had my time again, I'd become a meteorologist! Keep up the great work everyone

      Oversimplification alert.
      This is the trouble with the “branding” of global warming, for one, the word warming isn’t very threatening and secondly it makes it seem that the world will warm uniformly.
      Unfortunately, nature isn’t linear and tends towards chaos, so an overall warming can have very different effects on a local scale.
      This cold snap and snow in the UK is due to the behaviour of the jet stream allowing arctic air to cover the UK, mixed with warmer southern air. Global warming is predicted to make the jet stream more erratic, we could end up with more snow, even in November, combined with very hot summers.

    Brilliant videos. BUT. Why. Especially in summer or anytime really do you avoid West Wales. ie aberystwyth etc. When thousands of people are here on holiday even in Winter " just now your temp pen was all over the northern UK or east but never on Anglesey, or anywhere west. ?? Iv watched deep dive all summer with millions of people on holiday in Wales and never a word about this area. I stood ten years ago on a frozen lake in the center of Anglesey talking to the met office lady. About the fact that the news forecast said + 6 on Anglesey it was in fact -4. Bit dangerous information she thought I was mad. ! But this lake is 20 feet deep ".i was in the middle. On ice over 5 inches thick !!! Mmmm!!!!!! Please give us a real mention. But fantastic otherwise Mr Kaiwen Wu

      @barrypeers8665 … I agree with you 100%. The Met Office love statistics, but their record of getting the weather forecasting anywhere near correct is embarrassingly poor. No other organisation would be allowed to continue producing such poor quality output.

    • @mitsterful
      @mitsterful 8 годин тому

      @@SunshinesmuseThe Met Office has its science and forecasts reviewed every year by an independent group of other meteorological agencies from other countries and academics. The Met Office even has a whole team dedicated to verifying forecast models and science. You can simply google the skill of the UKMO Global Model vs. other models in the world. The Met Office isn't the best in the world, that would be the ECMWF model, but it's up there with the best in the world, depending which skill scores you're looking at.
      Private companies use weather data from places like the Met Office. Private companies cannot afford to own and run supercomputers in the way governments can. What a private company does, say MeteoGroup, is buy the data and they process it in a different way, hence the output is a little different. But ultimately, they too are getting their forecasts from either the Met Office, or more likely ECMWF. And it depends on the country.
      I hope this helped a little bit.
