Thank you for this. Nice professional tip on cutting just the ends of the tape cover & placing BOTH the units on without committing the work which gives you a chance to make sure the placement is properly aligned to give it the factory look. --guy takes personal pride in the work too. I like that.
Of all the instructional videos I've watched on this subject this is by far the best. Thank you very much
Brilliant method, usually i just go in and eyeball it. This is much more surgical and precise. Thanks for sharing
Good guidance for beginners like me. Thanks
Some people install them over the black molding/edge. And you did yours on the outside door. Why,?
@@DavidGarcia-re9qh I think it depends on vehicle also
Thank you for this video, really informative and easy to follow. 👍🏼 I had my car in for repairs yesterday and asked if they would be able to install these when I buy them. They insisted I could do it myself. I figured I probably could but I might get it all wonky. Your video really helps to see how workable it is! Thanks again!
I always like to watch the video beforehand just in case. This video and the instructor were very informative. Very well done! Thank you!
I love them I just applied them on my suburban the people at advance made it like it was something harder than what it actually is I did mine within 5 minutes thank you for your guidance to get it started
Quick and to the point. Well done! Thank you.
Great video with lots of solid tips! Doing my install tomorrow and so glad I found this vid. Great job!
Thanks for taking the time to demo the install! This was very helpful!!
Straight to the point. Solid tutorial!
So happy I found this video and watched prior to the installation. The rain guards I purchased do not fit correctly, so I am returning them. Had I just unboxed and installed, prior to assigning with the tape still on, the return process would have been a much stickier mess!
You instructions were simple and clearly... I feel like PRO now... Greetings!!
When he pulled the backing off I was like very smart way of doing it
🤣
yea i just yank that joint 😂
Excellent video ! Thank you Sir for your time recording this and sharing .
Excellent advice on getting this installed. Thanks for posting.
Thanks! Saved me a headache. Never would have thought to NOT remove the entire tape backing at once.
Thank you for making this video, it is always helpful to get advice from the more experienced, besides if i mess up my wife’s car, she will never forgive me for not watching a CARiD instructional video first… :)
I have wanted these for ages and always thought it was hard to put on. Never investigated. LOL TY I will be getting a set soon.
I just installed mine! Thank you so much for this wonderful video!
Just taking a moment, thanking you for the instructions, very simple and made easier. Good day
thanks.....I needed a refresher to install my Vents.
What a great tutorial on how to do this. I’m very appreciative.
Awesome. Exactly the information I needed.
Thanks. This helped me a lot. And I used some good pointers for a video I just shoot. Coming soon.
Excellent job sir! Good tip only exposing the adhesive tape on the ends.
I almost paid to have the dealership do this. Thanks for the video. Saved me $350.
Luke Encrapera that’s fucking ridiculous i hate the dealership
Just got my wife a new ride. This was helpful. I’ll be putting hers on shortly.
What are they for?
Seeing this video, am now gonna purchase my vent shades (rain guards) thank you so much.
This is a very informative and professional video.
Great video and a great website to buy parts from. Thanks Carid 🤘
Thank you. Just installed on my Honda. They look great. Thanks for your tips.
wow Your instructions is the best and easy to follow .I'll do this to my JeepW. THANKS YOU
Very helpful man! Thank you.i always wanted this for years.thanks again.
Glad I checked out you video first. It was a big help. Thank you.
Watched this video. Read instructions. Perfectomundo!
Thanks for putting this video together.
Yay you made it easy to get it right do appreciate it doing mine Saturday 🤗 thank you 😊
Thanks this was solid advice, put em on my S10 today👍
Just bought some for my 1500 and this video helped me 100% i have no experience with things like this and i would have botched this
Are they still functional?
Thanks for the video. All this time I was trying to insert the window deflector inside the window sil but it would never fit inside. I came to the realization by watching this video that the ones I bought are meant to be put on the car outside.
Helpful, thanks. Mine had a little part that pushed in behind part of the window seal by the mirror that can be missed which will make for a poor fit.
Tips from the pros are always great! Thank you for posting this :-)
CARiD Good call... Subscribed!
Just got mine! Thanks for this!
Thanks! Your instructions were easy to follow.
David Reimer can they keep rain from coming in at the very top of the door? no rain comes in at the window. just where the door shuts at the top
Can you do one for the installs on in-channel AVS deflectors? Package instructions say to "buff" the inside channel w/included 3m Scotchbrite and to leave windows up for 72 hours to ensure fit and permanence. That product is definitely different than what was shown here. Cool video. Love the candor and tips. Very professional, too.
Thank you!
Very clear instruction! Thanks so much
Quick to the damn point no bullshit thanks for this informative video!
Great tips ! Well done sir 👏
Very good demonstration on the install. Now I just have to get the old sticky tape off to put new ones on my suburban.
thanks did mines as quick as u with your video😎💪🏽💪🏽
Mines?
Thank you. Made installation so much easier.
My vent visors have come lose on one end, I have 3M dollars side tape. But no alcohol...what else can I clean with? That won't be oily, as need to RE STICK end. Help?
Thank you sir, very detailed instructions👍👍
Awesome instruction video!! Thank you!!
Very impressive Like the clean skilled install.
Excellent tips, thank you.
Thank you just got em for my truck
Very nicely done ✅ thank you!
Thank you so much big brother.
Great video. Thank you so much
Thank you very much. Well-done.
You're the best! Thank you
very good video quick to the points
Your video was super easy to understand for the external vent visors. Thank you! Unfortunately, I purchased the AVS in dwelling vent-visors and I’ve done everything you did, plus I followed the instructions to the letter, on the package! I even purchased over priced additional doubled sided 3M attachment tape! They will not stay in place! Can you suggest anything else I can try? The auto part store will not refund my purchase nor do they install them. Years ago they did! Otherwise this is $65 I’ve thrown in the trash!
Good video and explanation
Solid work! 😎
His tape method is brilliant
Great video. Thanks
Thank you for this instructional video, very easy to follow but I do miss the transcript that you included with your removal video.
Great tip about the tape🙂
good job . inspired to do it.
Hello Carid, how far from edge of car door do ventvisors apply? Thank you !
Excellent tutorial! I'll be using the method when I install today. Thanks!
Well explained.. thanks
Great tips! Love the tape tip, going to use that when I replace my old visors. Is there a secret for getting the old cracked ones off? Can I use "Goop-off" or similar first then alcohol? or is there another way to make the surface clean again?
Just saw this post as I'm rubbish when it comes to following included instructions. To remove the old adhesive (and/or for those of us just joining this channel) DO NOT use anything like "goop-off, goof-off", or any petrol based removers! They will damage and irreparably dull your paint. Use a hair dryer and patience. Now, since that query was over 5 years past, we're sure the OP prevailed! 😅
@@Harpoonarooney Goof Off doesn't damage paint or clear coat. I'm an auto detailer and I use it almost daily to remove tree sap, tar and line paint off of vehicles.
Nice video . thank you
Nice guide the music keep me going
Thanks nice and clear
Music hyped me up to do it
Thanks so much!
Can I install this when its 42 degrees outside or should I wait until it warms up?
Use ultra fine permant marker, it blends with visor and wipes off with alcohol.
Thank you Sir.
Great video
Thanks very helpful
Thank you!
Would it be ok to install these in a hurricane or blizzard in a walmart parking lot at 12am
Nice . First and best video ever seen. Simple and easy .hopefully it’ll be simple and easy when I try it on my car. And what is the main and only purpose of these guards ?
@@carid nice. Ok. Thanks a a lot for the information and that break down. I appreciate you
are they support to fix = and shoping for 2016 got any in stock thank you
Well what if u put them on before watching this video and u realize one is crooked after you’re done? How would a feller that did something like that correctly adjust it? Pull completely off get new tape ? Get a new visor? Live with it?
Thanks. Good tips.
Very cool Bro. !!!! TY! 😎✌✝💕
I bought almost the same product . according to the product i gotta use a heat gun to heat the visor after you put it on your car? Is that a good idea?
Ok does the halo supposed to be on when turning the main nite lights or when the day light ?
not trying to be silly but how secure are these stuck on ones? its not going to blow away while driving or the glue become loose on a super hot summer day?
Thank you
I've seen three of these videos so far, and the strip just magically peels off of the double-sided tape. It was not like that for me. Maybe spend more time on that part. Otherwise, well done.
THANKS
Oh yea he cleaned it reallllll goooooooddd
Good video
