1. Polychromos for pencils 2. Tombow mono eraser 3. Stardust gelly roll for glitter accents 4. Dahle sharpener (hand crank) or t'gall sharpener (short point) 5. Caran d'ache blender pencil - smoother and less scratchy than prismacolor for my taste 6. Color workshop by Rachel Reinert and Coloring techniques by Helen Elliston - great for learning new techniques 7. Pitt pens - both black and other colors love them! 8. Faber castell soft pastels 9. Inktense and Albrecht durer for water based mediums 10. Shitajiki pencil board to put behind my pages. Gives a much better surface for coloring!
Hi Rachel! Again I learned something new! This time I learned about color palettes. I struggle with color choices for my pages but now as you taught me, I am able to quickly choose colors for my page at Pinterest!! Also, my absolute favorite books are also the Romantic Country series. The story about my finding these books is kind of funny. I was in Target with my mother and was getting tired because I was waiting for her in the books section. This is about the same time that I was getting back into coloring. The first Romantic Country book was on the shelf where I was standing. I picked it up and fell in love. And that moment is also when I became obsessed with Chinese and Korean coloring books. Had I not taken my mother that day to Target, I may never have discovered the Romantic Country series! Well, that's not entirely true. With the books being everywhere, I'm sure I would have found it eventually!!! Thank you again for sharing!!
My top supplies that I use are Prismacolor premier, Mona Lisa odorless mineral spirits to blend with paper stumps, gel pens for accents and to add glitter to small spaces (gel pens never bleed through or make the paper warp), white gel pen for light accents/reflections, battery operated eraser, not to erase but to lighten areas,
Hi I just wanted to let you know that if you have a Facebook ..I have a group called Just Color! Just a place for adult colorers to share their work and there's monthly contests. This month's contest prize is a 15 dollar amazon gift code! Hope to see you there :)
Wow nearly the exact list and in the same order lol. You were my enabler on the blending pencil and pastels and I'm glad you did! The blender is my new best friend !
Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. I have a lot of those items. I yes the m & r sharpener. The round one with two different size holes. It is amazing!
Rachel, once again you have been spot on! I have 7 out of the 10. After watching you add cobblestones, bricks, leaves, etc. to Romantic Country books, I did go out of the line...LOL! I bought a Micron01 .025 marker in sepia (I think - can't find the color on it) which seems to emulate the not so black outlines in Eriy's book. My other items are pencil sharpeners. I use Staedtler and Kum. I was able to buy the Kum with replacement blades. For some reason I seem to dull blades quickly. Also with a double sharpener, if you don't use the big side often, you can swap the blades quite easily. My last fav is something you don't use, but I love for a little bit of bling. Atyou Spica glitter pens. Love these when I want just a little bit more oompf. Oh, one more. Love the Posca's, but once in awhile don't need the extreme detail. In that case....the white gelly roll markers work fantastically! Thank you for this video!
It's interesting for me to try this white marker pen. Because i have a problem with my gel pen, it's practically refuses to draw over pencils. So thank you for sharing, I'm gonna try it. And of course, my cat is the main ingredient for my coloring lol
I love my Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils. I started out with Prismacolor when they were much more expensive than they are now and experienced breakage all the time. I do love their blender pencil. My color combinations come from the website Design Seeds. I am going to try the white posca pen for sure. Thank you for sharing Rachel. 💖🎨
I have tried several. Artist Grade Blenders and I just have to say that Prisma is the best for me! Love all my other pencils but my Prismas are the ones I reach for most often too! Lol, and Romantic Country is my fav series!
Great video! My favorites are almost exactly the same and in the same order. The only differences I have are that I use the Prismacolor sharpener and I picked up a Fabre Castel eraser pencil which works really well to get into small spaces with Prismacolor pencils.
Hi Rachel!!! Did you know Eriy has a fourth book outside of the Romantic Country series? It's not in English but it seems to be a coloring/guide book on how to create her characters. I would so get this if an English version is produced. Have a great day! - Faith
Another great video Rachel! I like to use a combination of Prismacolor and Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils, depending on my mood, mostly! They are both wonderful pencils in my opinion. But one of my favorite "secret weapons" is the Tombow Mono Zero Eraser. It's great for erasing those little mistakes in tight spots and works very well, even on Prismacolor. Here's the link for the Amazon product, which is the value pack, coming the eraser and a refill: www.amazon.com/Tombow-MONO-Eraser-Value-Round/dp/B00O98USLU/ref=sr_1_3?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1502458873&sr=1-3&keywords=tombow+mono+zero+eraser
Hi there You should really try the KUM long tip pencil sharpener it is cheaper from places like hobby craft or ebay you will get your tip twice as long amazing plus no or low breakage
Annette Sonneson you can get them as cheap as £4 or as expensive as £20+ just shop around until you find a price with postage to suit you I must say they are amazing you sharpen your pencil in number 1 and then sharpen the lead in number 2 the point is extremely long and they rarely snap Lex and Co

Tip:when sharping your pencils you don’t want to turn the pencil, you want to turn the sharpener!

Faber-Castell Polychromos then Prismacolor. Use an electric sharpener. Metallic pens. Color Charts. Color wheel.
A cup of coffee is my essential colouring companion!

Do you have suggestions with a color palette and the actual colors you used?

What is the best blank paper to use?
Great ideas. Thank you for sharing😊🤗
Hi Rachel,I'm so glad I've found your channel and I've subscribed 😊
Thank you this is new to me adult coloring book... I’m so excited you are very talented! So you prefer color pencil instead of gel pens ?
Rachel: What no gel pens, gamsol, monosand erasers, or glycerin??!? Great vid! ;-) Thank you.
What happens if you use one of your prisma color pencils up do they sell individually?
Hi. Wondering if you have tried Mona Lisa Odorless mineral spirits or Gamsol with the Prismacolor Premier pencils?
Great video! You are so easy to listen to and so informative.

Do you have a link for the Faber-Castell chart? (The justcolorin . com site is not active and an image of it on Pinterest doesn't print). Thanks!
I’m watching this and am planning on buying this stuff. I’m 11.
