In this video I take my 2011 Harley Davidson V Rod Muscle out for a cruise to discuss things I wish I had known prior to buying this motorcycle. This was my first Harley Davison Motorcycle (cruiser). I primarily had ridden sport bikes prior to purchasing this bike. After two years of owning this bike I wanted to give an updated honest review of my experience with it. However, ironically enough the bike started giving me problems and broke down. I will share that experience with you all in the next video. My V Rod Muscle has a Tab Performance Exhaust on it. I also own a 2014 Yamaha R1 and a 2019 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto.

Budman riser for the vrod muscle is definitely a must it improves comfortability a ton. I bought for it my vrod and didn’t think it would change it that much but it brings the bars far enough back to where I don’t feel like I’m leaning into it at all and you don’t have to change cables which is a plus
yup, great product.
I have a 2006 v rod street Rod and I can go canyon carving with it. It comes with mids like a sport bike and it also has 120 hp at the rear wheel look them up. This particular model was built in 2006 and 2007 only.
Honestly love your content man, my only feedback would be if you could get a better audio setup to record your voice it would be a huge help. It usually sounds muffled and like it's "clipping" instead of clear.

I've got a 17 Night Rod Special, I rode mine from West Palm Beach Florida, to Newburgh NY. Took me 3 days of straight riding up to 10 hrs a day. I gotta say besides the heat in August, I was pretty comfortable on it, and I'm 5' 8". Getting a bag for the bag is a definite, whether you choose the ones from Harley or other brands. Love my VRod and hope you fix the issue soon and enjoy yourself.

Bought mine new In 2014, only had cooling fans fail, just did the 20,000 mile service, runs strong as ever, just need to keep up on all service and you should have limited problems, ride safe bro.

People that say "it's not a real Harley" dont know what they're talking about. The design is Harley, even the engine. Porsche helped refine the engine. Obviously they need help with, 600+lb bikes with barely 100hp stock. Decent torque but...eh😒 Not to mention drivetrain losses.😕. It does look dope though.

I got a nightrod special 2016, I'm 5'6 with drag bars... can ride all day. Love my vrod with 132 hp. Love to through it around corners, cornering is where it's at. Also love my bra. I have on the airbox

The fastest Harley-Davidson ever made, I love it, currently I have just 3 HD bikes and one of them is a V-ROD, but believe it or not: The best sounding is my old and original Sportster from 1975 ;-)

I have the 2015 muscle, I had the same issue with the bike shutting down, I replace the battery and so far no issues. Funny you mentioned not doing a cross country trip on your V-Rod, I'm planning on for hopefully this summer might be riding through Georgia.
Dang bro we are similar....I also have tenants. Our bike collections are similar, I have a VRod, and a Suzuki gsxr 1000. I don't have a super Moto BUT I do have sport quad...Honda trx400ex. Good luck with the VRod hopefully it's nothing too serious

I Love the riding forward Controls, Have an 03 Silver Anv(12 yrs) w/ forward, also 05 CVO Cycle Visions from factory, Road Glide/Bagger with floorboards, nice but looking to make it easy to convert to forward controls, then if Long trip , switch to floorboards. Also have 32 tooth front gear for trips, It will wind out LONG time in every gear, slow out but top end!!! Adios Vatos!!!

Bro the same thing happened on my vrod muscle and it was the voltage regulator. I think the part was around $160 and it is easy to replace. I had Harley test the battery and the stator prior to diagnosing the voltage regulator as the problem.
Bruh...Ivy got a case of COVID. Just kidding...your voltage regulator is bad. Easy fix. Two screws is holding it on to the front of your radiator intake cover. Exact same things and symptoms happened to me in February. You’ll be back up and running soon! Good to see you back on her.

Always dug the vrods looks when they done up right, but the riding position just felt awkward to me and it sounded more like a Yamaha vtwin than a Harley, overall sound machine though

@@FastLaneD airbox cover and relocating the speedometer into it. Changing the handlebars and adding risers so I can sit back a little, like you said the seating position isn’t terrible but leaning slightly forward like that for a long time is killer on my aging back, lol. Wrap it, for now, until I decide on a color and scheme.

The one thing you need to know before buying a V-Rod. Parts for it are all obsolete and discontinued. You can't get parts for it if it breaks. If you can get them you're going to pay out the ass.
I got 1 more month and my vrod muscle will be home. I can't wait. My car will never see t he road until snow.

I’m not sure if that a common thing with vrods I have a 04 my first bike ever started doing the same thing. I’m opting to buy a different back now. I love the muscle style of it but tired of the issues bike been in Harley shop back to back and probably still hasn’t been fixed

Happened to me after I did my plugs on my 955i last week...turns out I didn't connect the positive terminal and would kill power and flicker the Check Engine light under acceleration and shifting gears.

Any difference between 2008 and the post 2010 models of V rod or night rod? I'm getting ready to make bad life choices and buy one.
Also, I want speed and mobility, but if I plan long distance runs, I've decided the best combo would be the Vrod, best of all worlds, is that a correct assessment?
