There was a time I actually thought Scott McTominay would be Fletcher's replacement in the defensive midfield, but they're entirely different players, McTominay is far better going forward and finding a goal, whereas Fletcher is better playing in front of the defense and going in for tackles and passing the ball forward. About one of the few things they both have in common is their height and similar build.
