I got a half full 22 I’m working on and just picked up a 23. The 22 is my number 1 favorite right now. Worth it too me. But ya never know with single barrels. Hoping the backup lives up to expectations.
Did u crack your 23 to compare to the 22?

I was blessed with obtaining one last year at MSRP. Just sitting on the shelf. I think mine was $150 last year.

This bottle is fantastic.
I really liked this year’s 10yr bourbon but I would get this bottle in a heartbeat.
I rather have one of these over 5 Monarchs.
Need to compare this to the Grey Label Seagrass.
I was drinking this rye at a bar yesterday for a couple pours. Just delicious.
Never would pay secondary and hate the $200 price but would get a couple bottles if I could.
I agree the value is not great compared to getting some Sagamores , Barrell Spirits and Redwood Empires.
This is the number one unicorn on my list every year and I’ve never been able to find one at a reasonable price. Hoping to find one some day or at least find it at a bar/restaurant so I can sample.
That's the dilemma with collecting. Value vs stuff we never see on the shelves. I would still love to have the high-end 10, 20, 25 versions, but where to draw the line?

NY sells for around $260, if you're lucky enough to find it on the shelf. 2023 MSRP is showing $200, not sure how folks are saying $150.

@@100puremustard5 I confirmed that $185 is the 2022 and 2023 MSRP. If you're paying $160 it's either a previous year (good for you) or that store wants to get rid of supply (again awesome for you).
Great review, I have last years 10 year rye it is good but not worst secondary at all.

Not worth it at all. They proofed it down way too low. Which sucks because if they would sell a 10yr 115+ proof rye, it would be unbelievable!
Bought one of these because I had the opportunity. Would I hunt it? No.

I saw one in the wild but passed for 250..
Love the review, but this is a pass for me if it has to come out of my pocket. Secondary pricing is even worse in an area where stupid people have stupid money and won't even drink it!
Michters is the worst value generally
