When you live in California . . . Puertecitos

Natural mineral hot springs in Spanish are called Aguas Termales (thermal waters) and this guy was just looking at us and blinking, looking pretty confused. Eventually he realizes we are NOT asking him to buy our TAMALES, an honest mistake, and pointed down a path between homes to the sidewalk leading you down to the aguas TERMALES.
Puertecitos is a pretty primitive looking place if you are only driving by and even if you gain access to the beach, camping areas and the little neighborhood just in front of the rocky shoreline. But if you crave hot water like I do, don’t let appearances fool you. This is a natural wonder in disguise 🥸 not to be overlooked. It’s a gorgeous experience.
PS the children on our trip slept like absolute princes and princesses after their evening soak. 🛁 🥱😴💤
