Hello jack this method is an old one it depend's on experience to find the gears wich will make the pitch.so you couldn't develop it to a high level also it is clear and effective without calculations l could invent a formula for it but that will be in how to determine the gear ratio to find the defrntial gears only .l am so sorry for speaking too much but here we go together .
If you want a full formula and a high qualification gear manufacturing go and get your self an extensive gear making machine if you want to make a simple spiral bevel gear on a regulare milling machine let's talke simpler

Правильно ли я понял, что формулы настройки не существует? Настройка производится опытным путем исходя из образца конической шестерни?
Возможно ли нарезать таким способом коническую шестерню с малым числом зубьев, у которой форма приближается к цилиндру (большая коническая шестерня более плоская, чем маленькая)?

Sure you are right there is a sample the customers brought it to make a new spiral gear I get the lead from the sample also choosing the milling cutter it's a renewing the gearbox

Choose a good milling cutter usually No: 8 and it has to be thin than the tooth way (I always grind the both side of the cutter to be thin than the female tooth)
*Then put the cutter in the center of the gearblank by the easy way you can and don,t forget the cutter position on the naine spindle cause you are going to swivel the x table to the right or to the left acording to the gear
* Swivel the x table to almost 30 degree
* tight the table
* start the machine
* get a small depth about 1mm
* look to the tooth way
* Move to another tooth
* and so on
* enjoy adjusting and have 😊

nessun ingranaggio conico deve essere regolato in base al grado che modella l'impatto del dente. ad esempio la profondità davanti è 8 mm e la profondità dietro è 12 mm, ciò è possibile regolando il grado di rotazione del divisore

الطريقة المستخدمة طريقة قديمة طريقة الأجداد بنشاور على السنه بشوكة علام ونغير التروس لحين ما نحصل على الخطوة الحلزونية والطريقة الحسابية هى نفسها طريقة الترس الحلزونى العادى سواء ترس البنيون أو الترس التاجى الكبير ولكن هناك أمر مهم الطريقة الحسابية لا تصلح إلا إذا كنت حتصنع الترسين أما إذا كنت حتصنع ترس واحد اى منهما بغرض صيانة جيربوكس كمثال
يبقى لازم تستخدم طريقة شوكة العلام

You cant program this method on cnc machine
Its only for universal milling processing.cause its a gear cutter and this cutter has to be limited diameter to finsh the curve of the tooth correctly.
You can program this type of gears on cnc with endmill toll cutter also good drawing and cadcam will do the rest

To have correct tooth profile there should be 2-axis movements, not only the blank should rotate, but the cutter's axis should move like roll alongside blank movement. Like in this example ua-cam.com/video/9u7WedAlnoE/v-deo.html
Otherwise you'll have to reduce teeth width too much thus seriously affecting it's mech strength.
Can you make short video to demonstrate how those pairs mesh? What does the contact pattern look like, on something colourful and soft like toothbrush paste or other means of contact indicators?

machine there are several methods even in cnc

بتشاور على السنه بشوكة علام
من أول السنه لآخرها وتظبط عروسة التروس
تاخد بالك لازم الشوكه تكون فى السنتر
ومحور الاكس فى الزيرو
بعد ما تظبط الخطوة بتركب سكينة تكون نمرة ٨ وأقل بنصف موديل عن العينة علشان وهى بتلف فى الخطوة ما توسعش السنه اوى وياريت لو تكون مسنونة من الجانبين (يدوى) وخلوصها يكون معقول(على ايدك) وتضبطها فى السنتر بالضبط ومتنساش وانت بتضبط الخطوة تضبط درجة ميل الجهاز على أرضية السنه بالشوكة برضو
بعد ما تخلص ضبط تلف المحور على درجة ٣٠ وتبدأ تفتح السنه بعمق ١ مللى ونشوف أرضية السنة ونعمق واحدة واحدة وإذا الأرضية مش مضبوطة نلف المحور درجة أو درجتين او تلاته على حسب يمين او شمال لحد ما تضبط وسجل على ورقة التغير عمل معاك ايه

Ce que fait ce monsieur est totalement faux ! Il est impossible d´usiner un engrenage hélicoïdal conique avec une fraise module ! Ensuite les mouvement de la table et du diviseur sont beaucoup plus complexes que ça !!!
peut-être que c'est complexe pour vous voici avant d'inventer une machine à engrenages hypoïdes ne vous fâchez pas c'est une méthode comme n'importe quoi. vous pouvez voler avec un avion, un ballon ou une combinaison ailée. Les voitures ont également les mêmes objectifs, mais des formes et des styles différents, vous ne pouvez donc rien critiquer tant que vous n'avez pas toutes ses connaissances.

Le module d´une roue conique est variable même pour des denture droites donc on ne peut pas faire la chose avec une fraise module mais pour les dentures hélicoïdales c´est vraiment une autre histoire la fraiseuse peut exécuter uniquement du taillage hélicoïdal sur roue cylindrique mais pas conique . De vue le résultat peut paraître bien mais en réalité il serait asses loin du profil réel ! Il faut impérativement utiliser une tailleuse hélicoïdale . Je rajouterai encore que le profil des dents d´un engrenage droit effectué avec une fraise module est très approximatif ! . Utiliser une fraiseuse pour tailler des engrenages c´est de l´amateurisme. De toute façon, ce n'est pas une machine à engrenages hipoïde, ce n'est pas une machine CNC sur laquelle vous êtes invités Ecrivez votre point de vue. Nous sommes convaincus de nos capacités

First of all
if you are a machinest and you did a helecal gear on the universal milling machine that will be easy to operate the spiral bevel gear.
*you get the sample ,set up the sample hold it on the dividing head whith the chuck jaws.
*Then set up (The auxiliary input)
Universal dividing heads have an auxiliary input at the back of the head. This is used for helical milling. This is where, as the milling table moves along, the leadscrew is used, via a gear train, to rotate the workpiece being held by the dividing head.
and try to get 3 things
1_The x axis milling table now in zero dgree.
2_the degree angle for the tooth botom by swiveling the chuck up
3_the lead for the( tooth curve)which is in the middle of the tooth (Pitch circle diameter of the gear).
When you adjust the lead curve you are finshed set up

No they used Shay,Gleason, Hercules and Hugo bevel, miter, spiral and hypoid gear cutting machines. None of these where CNC and they go back as far as 1904. People Tried to cut gears like this with very little success.

Well, don't tell the spiiral and hypoid gear sets we made, because some are still in service 35 years after I produced them.
These parts came from intelligent, skilled, and educated machinists on swivel bed horizontal mills. Feel free to reference the machinists handbook under gearing for dividing heads.
You see, I know what I did, and how it was done - it's not my fault you're ignorant to those manufacturing processes.
