Great review! I LOVE my Mini. Needed to somehow replace “fun transportation” when mortality made me decide to stop motorcycling. Bought a convertible S and drive it probably twice as much as my X5. My only regret is not paying more for the JCW version. Next time 😁😁
Maybe prices like this one (on all cars) make them undesirable to the avg consumer. How soon will the avg transaction price be $40k? We're already at $33-34k, and manufacturers are all to eager to upping the price/options....
I almost hit the car in front when I was test-driving one because of the longer-than-usual travel distance of the brake. And the car only had less than 5K km on it. The brake doesn't really inspire confidence.
I just do not see how BMW can justy asking 42k for this car. Don't get me wrong it's a nice car but there are very few cars, SUVs or trucks that is worth that much money! Even the general base Cooper S cost too much!
I really hate how Mini ruined this car. It's no longer Mini and it's not cheap or reliable. The Fiesta ST was the better mini. Shame Ford had to be lame.
Yup, There's an older UA-cam mechanic that hates them. He claims that the wiring is so small a gauge that it often time just fuses together and shorts out the car. Personally, my daughter is on her second mini. I bought her a pair of Infinity speakers in an attempt to make the stereo listenable. It was the worst factory radio that I've ever heard. Well, turned out that the speakers were not in the door as was recommended by various sites, but, rather under the front bucket seats and the replace them was not at all practical. Great engineering, huh? PS; I tried to talk her into a Kis Soul when she was looking to trade in her first leased mini. Not stylish enough for her.
... You mean how BMW ruined this car. Because it's from across the pond, it's somehow seen as 'premium'. If they dropped the premium moniker, and price accordingly, to be competitive, you'd see more MINIs around where the (limited) dealers are located. I want to like MINI, but it is difficult as the value proposition is not enough despite the driving characteristics.
I sold cars for 35 years and I found the Mini was the least reliable used car that I ever sold. They all came back for issues. If you are going to get one, get a new one with a warranty.
Love Mini’s. Quick, lots of tech, and handles like dream.
Bought a 2019 JCW (fully loaded) last November, and because it was a stick, we got it for about 32k (not including our trade in). Best purchase ever.
No one has ever complained about the JCW four piston Brembos until you.

New Veloster N will blow its doors off and has great features for the money.
What is your opinion of the seat cover material? Thank you!

Same person to shop a Beetle.
Just skip to the end. Be sure to have your phone ready to take a photo as it's being driven away on a flatbed tow truck.

Yesterday’s news. Just get a GTI.
$42500 for a Mini. Hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha. Hahahaha. Its not funny.
40k for a dated looking mini. Nope.
Dated looking is the whole point of the Mini Cooper.
❤🚘
Wayyyyy over priced. Should be $31k
Fiat owned. We all know how not so, reliable Fiats are!!!
You think Minis are owned by Fiat? BMW would tell you different.
I do not understand why anyone would like or want any MINI Cooper. I say crush them all along with all Fiats. UGH
