Forst is very good. The normal version was very pricy compared to the competition, but the X diluted down still does the job. This product was a godsend during the last 2 or 3 winters.
Lovely video, be good to do more from Stjarnagloss absolutely love their products! They work brilliantly, a nice simplistic range that works! Kudos cav on that 👊
Hi Jon I have been using this product for 2 plus years now I also put snow foam over the citrus so it doesn't dry works very well indeed good video as normal 👍
I remember when you bought many of the products for the test mentioning this one will definitely be up there for cleaning power. A really really impressive product (it is incredible at removing big splats aswell)
I can believe it being better than touches for this kind of dirt. tochless is magic , way it cleans wheels. I also like citrus or high ph snow foams but just for oily, motor way road film, from oil diesel anti freeze but 95% use tochless for where I live. I like the harsh cleaners too as really seem to bring back masked coatings and long lasting sealants. I recently used both touches and a citrus on a filtly winter wash on a brand new car
Wow, what a coincidence, I literally got a bottle of Forst in a goodie bag tonight, and your video just happened to come up. Seems kind of expensive compared to the ValetPro one that's my favourite.
On the subject of PET vs HDPE, I've noticed a fad for replacing the latter with the former for things like cannon bottles and even wash buckets. Based on the experiences of people with a branded cannon that had broken off at the neck and having difficulty in getting replacements, I'm going to avoid it if possible. I know that the advantage is "clear" but I'd rather peer through a translucent plastic than have one break. In a similar vein, the first bottle of Först I got was crossed with a lemming and threw itself off my garage shelf, eating through the floor paint before I found out.
I finally got a chance to use Forst for the first time today. It's been quite chilly here so the car had quite a bit of road film caked onto the paint for the last few weeks so it needed a bath. I had limited time this afternoon so a contact wash was not ideal and I knew ONR was not going to cut through the grime. I'd honestly prefer misting the product from a pump sprayer in hopes of using less from that of a traditional trigger sprayer. Before rinsing off I also applied the rinseless wash and it was impressively cleaner than it was!
You are going to be impressed with the Shiny Garage Citrus Oil. That has cleaning power as impressive as this on my can coated stinger but at 1:20 dilution 👌 Looks a good product but even the concentrated version isn't great value. Seeing this video it looks like it could be diluted further than they say for better value, maybe something for dodo juice to look at 😉
Jon great video once again. Forst and KKD Citrus are my 2 favourites for this type of product but has me thinking, would surfex hd not do a similiar job at 1:10 or even 1:20? At a stage now where every penny counts😂
Looking at your citrus lineup do you ever test any of the yum car range John can never get my head round there horrific pricing compared to tried and tested stuff
I would expect it be good at 11quid a litre 3 washes then empty at the min 5 litre of dilutable is 14 quid from ez car care I have used that and had good results
Love you and love these episodes. Been falling you forever! Love the graphene stuff you post lol... Just do me a favor.. Please call it Porscha (Porsche). Dr. Porsche deserves the proper recognition. lol
Also you mentioned a couple of products you had on the Porsch(a) lol.. What were they? I am looking for something for my Skyline R33. Im in Florida so the sun just cooks our cars..... its awful
@ JON : Genuine question my friend. What is the difference between any of these car citrus pre cleaning chemicals, and something like Viro-Sol trade citrus degreaser ? I tried a few expensive citrus mountain bike cleaners, and discovered Viro-Sol, and used it for years. 5 litres for about £13, and it is so strong you have to dilute it, and it still cleans amazingly well. The only downside I found, was that it is so strong even diluted, that it can fade anodised aluminium parts. I would love to know what is actually different about ANY of these expensive citrus based products, that makes them worth 50 times the price per use, than Viro-Sol ? EDIT I just saw you ARE reviewing Viro-Sol against the others, brilliant. I can't wait for your thoughts.
I love a big blaster but they don’t half get through product! All the more reason to have a concentrate. AG Spritzer is my choice for citrus pre wash, be interested to see how it does against the rest. Big fan of Wax Planets products too but not sure what’s happened to them company wise? The website now diverts you to in2detailing……
Do you think this could be used on interiors? Perhaps diluted a bit more than 1:1? There are so many products now out there, that it seems they want everyone to have a seperate product for each type of job!
Thought it might be fun to know what Stjärnagloss and Först means in Swedish. Stjärna = Star Gloss is English for gloss or shiny so I guess you can say it's a SweEnglish word (Swedish word would be Glans) StjärnaGloss = StarGloss (If you'd like to be real picky, it should've been StjärnGlans in Swedish but halfway there at least) Först = First, probably referring to the product being a pre-cleaner or "use this first" Just a fun little note for all out there ;)
Didn't realise Imran is in Dundee which isn't far from me.. bout an hours drive. (If its right Imran lol). So excited about a visit to his store but scared as well as I'll be like a kid in a sweet shop. I think I'll have to pretend to the wife I won the stuff on a raffle.
@Forensic Detailing Channel awesome thanks. Your video been really helpful for newbie home weekend hobbyist detailer. Learning all the time. Thanks for all the sharing!
Cheers for this upload Jon. It's a really interesting product and gets a lot of rave reviews within the community. I'm still not convinced about buying an RTU but I'm eager to see the X version within the comparison. All the best buddy. 👍
Doesn't shock me as its made by the dodo. Shame we don't see many of there products on here as there stuff is always amazing and the company themselves have there part in the detailing scene to stay
@Some Mad Random Person again not rebranded as dodo just refreshed there look. Jack made a great move though working with dodo and his sales game is above and beyond
Hi mate. I bought a meguiars hybrid ceramic liquid wax, hybrid ceramic wax and hybrid ceramic detailer. How do you think shall I use a hybrid ceramic pre-wax prep before liquid wax? Thanks
What do you think about mixing say 100 mL of Forst with GSF or another soap in the foam cannon? I have mixed GS with GSF and it works well, but Forst is a little nicer than GS for some contaminants.
Can I use the car pro descale as pre wash for traffic film removing and some heavy dirt and then wash with some ph neutral shampoo? ( for not ceramic coat car? Thanks in advance
Out of interest but not that I need the product, I went to look up the info. Below are the steps and explanation. In concrete terms, you can use it to wash the entire vehicle since it is a shampoo. But your question is justified, since some limescale removers should absolutely not be used over the entire vehicle. Use on coated and non-coated cars ... . As a shampoo I use their Reset, lubricates well, removes excellent dirt, rinses well. This one offers everything a shampoo needs. And also economical in use. How do I use CARPRO Descale? Dilute the product 1:100 as a shampoo in a bucket or 1:10 in a foam cannon. With light soiling: Use Descale as snow foam in your foam cannon. Foam the entire car and allow the product to act as much as possible without letting it dry. Rinse thoroughly with water. Follow up with a hand wash. For heavier pollution: Wash panel by panel, starting with horizontal panels. Wash the panel and let Descale soak in for as long as possible without letting it dry. Repeat previous steps if necessary. Rinse thoroughly with water, preferably with a high-pressure cleaner.
That looks an extremely expensive way of pre washing the car!! How good this product works will be dependant on how well protected the car is prior to using it.
hmm, double speed wax if on budget. Maybe a zymol or swisswax best of show though one of the mega expensive ones just because its cool. Maybe old fusso for durability. Maybe even the scholl vintage wax. I know thats not one but its hard. not forgetting AW engima too.
@@ForensicDetailing I love it, so many good ones you can’t decide. Dude we appreciate your time and effort in these videos. You are my go to for tips and products.
touchless is a better road film prewash. This is really strong citrus spray you can perhaps use a bit more sparringly on bug splatter and tar in the summer maybe
You always say read and follow the instructions but you don’t!? Come on fella - which is it? Read and follow or just go your own way. Forensic hints at scientific. Love the channel etc but fairs fair.
Wow, wanted to see Stjarna on this channel for ages. Thank you so much John. Glad you approve (so far) 💚
Love Stjarnagloss ❤
Always the best non biased reviews, over the years this channel has helped my mobile detailing business

Bought it about 8 weeks ago and i love it. It's also an excellent tyre cleaner.
Greetz from germany....
I won a competition the other day and got 4 of their items delivered, never even heard of it before. Used the wash shampoo and it was nice to use

If there’s ever another citrus cleaner video, it would be interesting how 3D’s citrus degreaser compares to the competition.
its an RTU mate so I think its gonna struggle to win.
Great video Jon, I picked up some good info.
It is available in the US from The Rag Company.
Definitely going to try this one, the bilt hamber line really isn't doing it for me anymore.
It’s really great on tires as well, I like it

I`m very interested in the citrus category, because I want a spray and not foam way of prewash, but in my country there is hardly any product 😅

If i use Bilt Hamber do i need a citrus wash?
Not for winter road film but I cover this question in video dave
Looked hard to rinse off considering it’s a coated car. Took almost 4 minutes
I love Först it's the absolute bollocks!!!
I will try this myself thanks for sharing
What washer you useing mate
Hi mate. I bought a meguiars hybrid ceramic liquid wax, hybrid ceramic wax and hybrid ceramic detailer. How do you think shall I use a hybrid ceramic pre-wax prep before liquid wax? Thanks
Great video, this would be a goto if it were meant to be diluted, for now sticking with Bilt Hamber
But Bilt Hamber don’t do a citrus prewash.
looks like that cirtus pre wash damaged the hydrophobics and is not coating safe
Nope you must judge hydrophobic after contact wash and final rinse
What do you think about mixing say 100 mL of Forst with GSF or another soap in the foam cannon? I have mixed GS with GSF and it works well, but Forst is a little nicer than GS for some contaminants.
Dont mix chems m8. They are not always compatible.
Can I use the car pro descale as pre wash for traffic film removing and some heavy dirt and then wash with some ph neutral shampoo? ( for not ceramic coat car? Thanks in advance
ive never used this mate, question for car pro customer services, or maybe someone else here will read and reply.

In concrete terms, you can use it to wash the entire vehicle since it is a shampoo. But your question is justified, since some limescale removers should absolutely not be used over the entire vehicle.

How do I use CARPRO Descale?
Dilute the product 1:100 as a shampoo in a bucket or 1:10 in a foam cannon.
With light soiling:
Use Descale as snow foam in your foam cannon.
Foam the entire car and allow the product to act as much as possible without letting it dry.
Rinse thoroughly with water.
Follow up with a hand wash.
For heavier pollution:
Wash panel by panel, starting with horizontal panels.
Wash the panel and let Descale soak in for as long as possible without letting it dry.
Repeat previous steps if necessary.
Rinse thoroughly with water, preferably with a high-pressure cleaner.
There is something very therapeutic about watching a car being washed. Maybe it’s just me,I am a bit of a nut case that way.
Would this be suitable for satin and Matt paints and wraps?
Question for the brand m8
Better than BH Surfex?
Different chem, lot more expensive but it's more effective than apc on rubber and tar and bugs.
Hi Jon, good video 👍 Please can you add GTechniq W5 to the shoot out
If you could only have one pre wash product, which would it be?
BH touchless mate
So will you be binning the BH Touchless?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👀🤣
😂😂
No way lol, citrus is good for me after track days, or in summer, but muddy road film is touchless territory

TFR does more harm than good. ✌🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Supernatural TFR + pink dye = forst
Read the instructions and then totally forgot them. Rinse car…… 😀
Först means First. It would be hilarious if they had a second with snow foam third with some kind of wax etc. :D
And it’s pronounced the same way as “first”(almost, anyway). 😊
By the way: It's pronounced "first", because it's obviously used ... först. ;-)
Too expensive for me
👍🏻
