I think the reason why for the fluctuation is your output is from an HMI which means has a processor and frequency, the input module of the AB has a scan frequency too, so both processors will meet sometimes in a point where no output from the HMI while the input is scanning, better to use a true analog like a battery with a resistor for things like this, better to use current to begin with to get better value at longer cables, thanks for the video buddy
What is the name of the video that covers the hmi and the analog programming you touched on a little. I want to figure out how to do the hmi analog control and how to create the ladder logic for it. Why does it seem NO ONE really covers the actual breakdown of the ladder logic for those of us who are new? Everyone touches on it back never fully goes into it including examples of how to write and use the logic.
@@SolisPLC i have an entire water treatment plant operation running under a compact logic 5069 ( with their respective module ) I’m gonna have to shut down the plant to install a new analog if8 module ?
@@LololeoLolo by the NEC (electrical code), you need to shut down the panel to perform any modifications even at low voltages. Regardless of what can be done with the module, this isn't something that should ever be done live... For equipment and personnel protection.
I know you posted this a year ago, but ... For my Analog mA signals, the designers of our logic created some Analog Conversion function blocks. We put the RAW input into a function block (using values from the chart seen here). I then send that converted value to another FB that converts that to the value for the instrument (psi, gpm, deg, etc.).
Exlnt explanation👍

Vlad you are doing great work ... best wishes to you
good vid. Like it how you debugged it and found the issue some people would have solved it and not showed it
Splendid!
Do make the video for the Analog Output Signal.
Thanks!
very helpful. thanks
By the way, the catalog number for the expansions are also on the inside of the cover. Bottom corner.
Thanks, buddy. You helped me a lot.
Very useful stuff 😊
Very useful thank u!!
Cool videos, brilat brain!

do you know how i'm gonna scale the analog signal coming from a preamp to an adc in audio ? do you know any analog brand for this
I want know how to change the range or scale of a particular AI in RS logix5000. Could u plz help me on that?
Hi Vlad, Can you please made a video of selecting job thru an array of database with many attributes
can i add a analog module to a compactlogix 5069 on ONLINE MODE without going off with the plc ???
No, you can't add modules online.
Although Rockwell does allow you to add external devices online. It may be possible... I'd have to check.

what hmi is that?
do more videos on Communication protocol in AB
Kindly make video for analog output also
Any other way of scaling Analog values apart from CPT?

yes, with SCP AddOn Instruction.
How are u able to change to a real #?
