@TravellingwithRussell Any Russian outside of Moscow will tell you Moscow is so different wealth and culture wise that it cannot be considered real Russia, it is like a tourist attraction for people like you. Travel beyond Moscow oblast and film those towns, then you and your viewers will get the real picture.
@@TravellingwithRussell If you want I welcome you to my town in Rostov Oblast, we can film a video together even, I am a fluent English speaker. It's only a day or so by train.
In every nation there is a capital of that nation. The capital is representative for that nation. You can say it is for tourism so be it, that is good. Therefore indeed the accent is in putting the best in their capital. But a nation is one nation and nobody says the capital is not the nation. New York or Washington is USA. When someone films and says: " Christmas in USA you can not say that is not USA. Even if you mean positively to say "come to another part of that nation" you say it as that. You say: "you are welcome in another state also". Not Moscow is not Russia. You also don't say Washington or New York is not USA. What such negative comment do is damage Russia in many sense. And if that is the goal we already know and are not impressed or influenced. So stop the bs saying Moscow is not Russia. Russell, keep on the good work and God bless Russia and all Russians and all citizens of Russia who really love Russia.
@@Gerdeo64 You really are not aware of just how DIFFERENT Moscow is from the rest of Russia. The contrast is absolutely wild. In western countries, when I pick a random city in the capital and then in a poorer region, I think, yeah, that region is poorer but the difference is not that big. Like, if you click on a random street in UK, you will see more or less the same terrace houses that look cute. In Moscow, the difference between Moscow within МКАД and a town like, 200km away, or even somewhere in Moscow oblast is absolutely crazy. There are a few places in the world with this level of inequality and centralization. I mean, Moscow's expenditures are second highest in the whole world (first is Tokyo), above that of New York, Paris, Berlin or any other western nation, yet Russia's GDP per capita sits between Turkey and Mexico. All while other cities in Russia with more than a million of people have city budgets 200 times smaller than that of Moscow's. And you can verify this yourself. Pick the centre of Moscow on street view, and then pick any medium sized city with a population of around 200k, you will see an absolutely massive difference in appearance. And in wealth, it is even more so.

Moscow, not Russia.
Moscow is in Russia, the last time I checked the post in my letter box.
Such a pity this year we don’t have snow as usually! The picture is incomplete! Though, weather forecast promises snow right on 31st of December
Exactly, the weather has been too warm also, and a lot of the past snow has melted already. Maybe why this video didn't get as many views. I enjoyed the walk going to the two parks though.
