Nice vid and sweet parts, dude! Just did poly MM in my T/A and it was a PITA (motor still in car) lol. Also I couldn’t really tell in the video, but hopefully that starter is the “truck/updated style” would be a shame to see that beaut take a hit from a no good short ear style one
Well, just in case, here’s some threads on it if you aren’t aware. It’s only a problem on LS1 cars and some early trucks that had one short “ear” and one long “ear” from what I’ve gathered, most others had the updated starter. ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/1152155-ls1-block-broke-starter-mount-no.html You can either do the LS3 starter or a 6.0 truck starter, just make sure the number of teeth match the one you have, IF you want to upgrade. Also, the LS3 starter is lighter but will have a pigtail you’ll have to install on the fbody (one wire) whereas the truck one is plug-n-play but heavier. ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/1578054-5-3-starter-fit-ls1-fbody.html#post16658287 I ended up going with a Pure Energy 6492SN ‘06 Silverado 6.0 starter from RockAuto, oh and make sure to get another long bolt as well.
You can get spacers for that water pump and use the truck pulley. Are you going to cut the cowl? That truck intake won’t fit unless you do. Also, I’m not sure if you have the hood clearance for the truck intake.
I’ve been buying parts over time to install on this engine for the past couple months so here is Part 6 of the engine build I hope you all like it.
Keep it up my boy 🔥
Always!

It’s the f body starter so it should work.
