Old school raw and cult album from hell. This album should be up there with the likes of early to mid 80's Satanic Black Heavy Metal acts like KAT, Venom, early Slayer, Exorcist, Mercyful Fate, etc.

According to Metallum this was the first full-length Black Metal albums; Although they are credited for Heavy Metal early on and Black/Death Metal through the middle of their anthology. This is certainly Heavy Metal but it sounds like it was recorded with 70s style engineering which wouldn't be too far-fetched since this was recorded during a transition period with technology and music styles.
This is '86. Certainly not a transitional period and certainly not black metal.

@@gouortenklif6861 You're thinking "Norwegian Black metal", which really didn't exist at the time. Mayhem and Darkthrone were around, but they were essentially "local bands" at the time.
Satan's Host, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Venom, Mercyful Fate, and even Grim Reaper were pretty much it, and we all listened to Motorhead. Motorhead was like the glue that bound us all together. Oh, and there was also "The Mezmerist" (you can find Mezmercado's songs on UA-cam) Bill Ward from Black Sabbath was hired to played drums on it after he quit Black Sabbath.

Wow , what did I just found? Did not know that this band existed back in the 80ies when I was a teenager (neither did I know about Jag Panzer , and their 1st album on 1984,from which the singer comes). I was not buying steadily the HeavyMetal magazines of the time (I bought my first MetalHammer issue in 1987) , so I wonder what did the reviews mentioned about this album when it came out in 1986. If they were not praising these guys , then the reviewer was an ignorant parasite!
Well, as you can imagine it was not spread widely, no internet, small/independent label, 'small' pressing amount. Bad critics - words like 'worst record ever' (some still do to this day) where mostly given. I would say a better production and this beast would be less adorable, even if it would be interesting to hear it with a proper production. But the budget was spent for the best metal cover of all times. As a result the cult was created. Either one dies for it or endlessly hates it. Watch out for the fantastic Midnight Wind Demo. Love the way LeviathanThisiren signed and painted my original red vinyl. Hail Satanas!

This band was created to jump into the surging satan-themed metal wagon from the 80s. The singer was in a band called Jag Panzer prior to this, then left to join a band called "Titan Force". Haha! This album is actually lame and cheesy.
